APRIL 22.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
First Schedule.
All that area in the County of Waitemata, in the North Auckland Land District, bounded, commencing at the south-western corner of Allotment 35, Parish of Pukeatua, towards the north generally by the Kaukapakapa Riding boundary as described in the New Zealand Gazettes, 1902 (page 1063) and 1883 (page 647) to the north-east corner of Allotment E. 36, Pukeatua Parish aforesaid, and by a right line being the production of the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment to the centre of a public road; thence towards the north-east and east generally by the centre of the said public road, to and across its junction with another public road forming the southern boundary of part Allotment 319, Pukeatua Parish; again by the centre of the aforementioned public road to and across its junction with another public road forming the northern boundary of Section 32H, Riverhead Homestead Block; again by the centre of the first-mentioned public road to and across its junction with another public road forming the northern boundary of Allotment 28H, Riverhead Homestead Block; again by the centre of the first-mentioned public road to and across its junction with two other public roads; again by the centre of the aforementioned public road where it forms the southern boundary of Section 30H, Riverhead Homestead Block, to its junction with another public road intersecting Allotment 39, Ararimu Parish; thence by the centre of the last-mentioned public road to its junction with another public road forming the northern boundary of Section 51H, Riverhead Homestead Block; again by the centre of the said public road to and across the junction of another public road forming the northern boundary of Section 50H, Riverhead Homestead Block; again by the centre of the aforementioned public road to and across its junction with another public road forming the northern boundary of Allotment 222, Paremoremo Parish; and again by the aforementioned public road to a point which would intersect the Pukeatua Riding boundary as described in New Zealand Gazette 1911 (page 2338) and 1883 (page 648); thence towards the south-west and west generally by the Pukeatua Riding boundary aforesaid to the south-western corner of Allotment 57, Ararimu Parish, being the point of intersection of the aforementioned riding boundary with the Kaukapakapa Riding boundary as described in New Zealand Gazettes, 1902 (page 1063) and 1883 (page 647); thence towards the north-west generally by the said Kaukapakapa Riding boundary to a point on the southern boundary of Section 19H, Riverhead Homestead Block; and thence by the southern and eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned section to the point of commencement.
Second Schedule.
All that area in the County of Waitemata, in the North Auckland Land District, bounded, commencing at the south-eastern corner of Lot 2 of Allotment 55, Paremoremo Parish, towards the north-east by the Pukeatua Riding boundary as described in the New Zealand Gazettes 1911 (page 2338) and 1883 (page 648) to a point in the centre of a public road which forms the north-eastern boundary of Section 65H, Riverhead Homestead Settlement; thence towards the south-west generally by the centre of the said public road to the Waitahi Stream, and thence towards the south-east generally by the Waitahi Stream to the point of commencement.
Third Schedule.
All that area in the Waitemata County, in the North Auckland Land District, being portion of Section 19H, Riverhead Homestead Block, bounded, commencing at the south-western corner of Allotment 35, Parish of Pukeatua, towards the east and south by Sections 21H, 22H, and 20H, all of Riverhead Homestead Block, to the intersection of the southern boundary Section 19H aforesaid with the Kaukapakapa Riding boundary as described in the New Zealand Gazettes 1890 (page 956) and 1902 (page 1063); and thence towards the north-west by the said riding boundary to the point of commencement.
Fourth Schedule.
All that area in the County of Waitemata, in the North Auckland Land District, bounded, commencing at a point on a public road being the south-west corner of Allotment 132, Ararimu Parish, towards the north, east, and north generally by the said Allotment 132, and by Sections 18H and 19H, Riverhead Homestead Block, to a point being the intersection of the southern boundary of Section 19H with the Kaukapakapa Riding boundary as described in New Zealand Gazettes 1890 (page 956) and 1902 (page 1063); thence towards the south-west by the said Kaukapakapa Riding boundary to a public road; and thence towards the west generally by the said public road to the point of commencement.
Fifth Schedule.
Bounded, commencing at a point on Forest Hill Road, being the north-west corner of a part Lot 6A of Allotment 5, Waikomiti Parish (containing 19 acres 0 roods 38 perches), towards the north by the south side of Forest Hill Road aforesaid to its junction with another public road intersecting aforesaid part Lot 6A; thence by the western side of last mentioned public road to and across another public road, and by the western side of the last-mentioned public road and its production to and across Parr's Cross Road; thence by the south side of Parr's Cross Road aforesaid to a point in line with the south side of Forest Hill Road; thence by a right line to the south side of Forest Hill Road, and by the south side of that road to and across another public road, to the point of commencement.

Special Order made by the Kowai County Council altering Riding Boundaries and adjusting Representation.

Wellington, 17th April, 1926.
THE following special order, made by the Kowai County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.
Pursuant to section 100 of that Act, as amended by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921–22, I hereby fix the 22nd day of April, 1926, as the date from which the special order shall take effect.

KOWAI COUNTY.
Special Order.—County Ridings.
WHEREAS the Kowai County is at present divided into two ridings—the “North” and the “South”—as defined in Proclamation dated the 18th day of March, 1912, and published in Gazette, 1912, Volume 1, page 1070:
And whereas it is desirable that the area comprised in the Amberley Town District should be constituted a separate riding of the county:
Now, therefore, the Kowai County Council doth hereby (by way of special order) ordain and declare as follows:—

That the number of ridings in the county shall be and the same is hereby altered from two to three.

That the number of County Councillors shall be seven.

That the three ridings shall be named the “North,” the “South,” and the “Amberley” Ridings, and the boundaries thereof shall be as follows:—
(a.) The North Riding shall be the area defined as the “North Riding” in the Proclamation hereinbefore referred to, save and except that part thereof as is within the Amberley Town District.
(b.) The South Riding shall be the area defined as the “South Riding” in the said Proclamation.
(c.) The Amberley Riding shall be the area within the Amberley Town District.
- The representation of the several ridings on the Council shall be as follows:—
Three Councillors shall be elected for the North Riding.
Three Councillors shall be elected for the South Riding.
One Councillor shall be elected for the Amberley Riding.

This special order (save as referred to in the next succeeding paragraph) shall come into full force only at the general election of the Council to be held in the month of May next, except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary for preparing any rolls or otherwise providing for such election.

This special order so far as it makes any alteration in the boundaries of the North Riding (but subject to the general provision contained in the preceding clause) shall take effect on a date fixed in that behalf by the Minister of Internal Affairs and notified in the Gazette.
