Special Order made by the Kaitieke County Council altering Riding Boundaries and adjusting Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Kaitieke County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.
Pursuant to section 100 of that Act, as amended by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921–22, I hereby fix the 31st day of March, 1926, as the date from which the special order shall take effect.

EXTRACT from the minutes of the proceedings of a special meeting of the Kaitieke County Council held on the 26th day of September, 1925, at 10.30 a.m. :—
That, in pursuance of the powers, provisions, and authorities contained in and conferred by the Counties Act, 1920, and any amendment thereof, the Kaitieke County Council hereby resolves by way of special order that, in order to make the representation of the different ridings as far as possible proportionate to the rateable value and number of electors in each riding respectively, the ridings and the boundaries thereof as at present constituted shall be adjusted and altered as to the Hunua, Owhango, Raurimu, and Kirikau Ridings only, as set forth in the Schedule hereunder, and as more particularly shown on the plan deposited in the office of the Kaitieke County Council ; and that the representation of each of the newly defined ridings should be one Councillor.
Schedule.
- Hunua Riding.—Commencing at a point, being the junction of the north-western corner of Section 4 (scenic reserve), Block III, Hunua Survey District, with the Wanganui River, and following the said river in the direction of its source to a point at the intersection of the northern boundary of Section 8, Block V, Hunua Survey District, produced; thence to and along the northern boundary of such section to its north-west corner; thence along the western and southern boundaries of the same section to the junction of the Makokomiko Road; thence following the Makokomiko Road on its western and northern sides to a point opposite the intersection of the boundary between Sections 5 and 6, said Block V; thence to and along the boundary between Sections 5 and 6 to its junction with the northern boundary
