Appointment of Representation and Election of Representatives on the Matakaoa and Waiapu Hospital Boards.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of March, 1926.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the Matakaoa Hospital District Act, 1925, the Matakaoa Hospital District was constituted:
And whereas by the said Act it is enacted that, subject as therein appearing, the Board of the said hospital district shall consist of such number of representatives of the contributory districts within the hospital district as the Governor-General by Order in Council from time to time determines, and that the first election of members of the said Board shall be held on such date as the Governor-General by Order in Council appoints, and that the Governor-General may make all such provisions as are deemed necessary for the purpose of that election:
And whereas, by reason of the creation of the Matakaoa Hospital District, the number of members at the Waiapu Hospital Board is less than that permitted by subsection three of section nine of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and it is desirable to revise the apportionment of representation of the contributory district within the Waiapu Hospital District:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the aforesaid Act, and also by the Hospital, and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, doth hereby determine that the number of representatives of each contributory district within the aforesaid Hospital Districts of Matakaoa and Waiapu shall be as set forth in the Schedule hereto, and that the first election of members of the Matakaoa Hospital Board shall be held on Wednesday, the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and that the election of additional representatives of the Waiapu County to the Waiapu Hospital Board shall be held on the date of the next ordinary general election of representatives of the Waiapu County.
And it is further directed that in all other respects the regulations made by Order in Council dated the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, shall, as far as applicable, apply as if expressly set out in this Order in Council.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section ten of the Native Trustee Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority in that behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
John William Macdonald, Esq.,
the Public Trustee of the said Dominion of New Zealand, to be a member of the Native Trust Office Board for a period of two years.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 28th day of February, 1926.

Defining the Boundaries of the Waimakariri River Trust District as altered by the Provisions of the Ashley River Improvement Act, 1925.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection three of section two of the Ashley River Improvement Act, 1925, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby define the boundaries of the Waimakariri River Trust District as altered by the provisions of the said subsection to be as described in the Schedule hereto.

WAIMAKARIRI RIVER TRUST DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast in line with Lee’s Road, the northern boundary of Reserve 4059; thence southerly along the sea-coast to the estuary of the Heathcote and Avon Rivers, across that estuary to Point Gollan; thence westerly generally along the southern shore of the estuary and up the Heathcote River to Bridle Path Road, along Bridle Path Road to Martin-Dales Road, and along Martin-Dales Road to Hills Road; thence along Hills Road to the south-eastern corner of R.S. 73; thence along the road forming the southern boundary of R.S. 73 and the western boundary of R.S. 5863, 2116, 11465 to Hills Road, along Hills Road and a closed road to the northernmost corner of R.S. 562; thence along the road forming the north-western boundary of R.S. 562, 551, and intersecting 549, the western boundary of 814 and 2063 to the south-eastern corner of R.S. 383; thence along the south-eastern and western boundaries of R.S. 383 and the southern boundary of R.S. 5269 to Hoon Hay Road; thence along Hoon Hay Road to Quarry Road and along Quarry Road to the south-eastern corner of R.S. 1081; thence along the southern boundaries of R.S. 1081, 1592, 1913, 1100, 1594, 772, and 1593, to a public road; thence south-easterly along that road to Burke’s Bush Road; thence along Burke’s Bush Road and Burke’s Road to a public road forming the western boundary of R.S. 1092 and 3847; thence along that road and its production to its intersection by the stream forming the south-western boundary of R.S. 15402; thence along that stream to Lake Ellesmere; thence along the northern shore of Lake Ellesmere to No. 2 River; thence up No. 2 River and along the western shore of the lagoon to the stream forming the south-eastern boundaries of R.S. 11388 and 11184; thence along that stream and the eastern boundary of R.S. 11184 aforesaid to Gooderick’s Road, across Gooderick’s Road and along Springs Road to Ellesmere Junction Road; along Ellesmere Junction Road to Lincoln and Prebbleton Road, and along that road to Harewood and Hampton Road; along that road and across the Main Trunk Railway to Dawson’s and Waimakariri Road; thence along Dawson’s and Waimakariri Road, Coal Road, Lower Waimakariri Road, and Minchin’s Road to the Sheffield and Oxford Railway line; thence along that line to and across the Waimakariri River to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section 33, Block X, Oxford Survey District; thence along that road to the North Branch, Eyre River; thence by a right line across that river to the south-western corner of Rural Section 12278; thence along that boundary and along the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 5300 to the north-eastern corner of that section; thence along the public road forming the northern boundary of Rural Section 2415 to McCandlish’s Road; thence along McCandlish’s Road to the northern boundary of R.S. 17567; thence along that northern boundary to and along a public road intersecting R.S. 18776, 32502, 33640, 34331, 34794, and 34984, to the road forming the northern boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence along that road and along the road forming the north-western boundary of R.S. 17828 to the western boundary of R.S. 4967; thence along that boundary and the western and northern boundary and its production of R.S. 7772 to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 3 (Ashley Gorge Settlement), Block IV, Oxford Survey District; thence along that road to German Road; thence along German Road, Dickinson Road, and Summerhill Road to the road forming the northern boundary of R.S. 7842; thence along that road to the road forming the western boundary of R.S. 4229; thence along the western and southern boundaries of R.S. 4229 and the south-western boundaries of R.S. 4228 to Mairaki Road; thence along Mairaki Road, Fernside Road, and Brook Road to the north-western corner of R.S. 1029; thence along the western boundary of that section to a branch of the Cam River; thence down that river to the Rangiora-Flaxton Road; thence along the Rangiora-Flaxton Road and Church Bush Road to the Cam River; thence down the Cam River to R.S. 113; thence along the southern boundary of R.S. 113 and the western boundaries of R.S. 1822 and 1258 to Lee’s Road; thence along Lee’s Road to the sea-coast, the point of commencement.
