Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed

David O’Donoghue,

of the Public Trust Office, Palmerston North, to be the Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Dannevirke, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters.

Applying the Provisions of Section 120 of the Public Works Act, 1908, to the Rangitikei River Bridge at Bull’s.

WHEREAS it is provided by section 7 of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1925, that the Minister of Public Works may, on the recommendation of the Main Highways Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board), by notice in the Gazette, declare that the provisions of section 120 of the Public Works Act, 1908, in so far as it provides for the apportionment of the cost of maintenance, repair, or reconstruction of any bridge forming part of a main highway, shall apply with respect to the apportionment of the cost of maintenance, repair, or reconstruction of any bridge forming part of a main highway in so far as such cost is not provided for out of the Main Highways Account:

And whereas on the 14th day of January, 1926, the Board resolved as follows:—

“That in accordance with the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1925, the Honourable Minister of Public Works be recommended to apply the provisions of section 120 of the Public Works Act to the Rangitikei River Bridge at Bull’s.”

Now, therefore, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Public Works, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said section 7 and of every other power in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby declare that the provisions of section 120 of the Public Works Act, 1908, in so far as they provide for the apportionment of the cost of maintenance, repair, or reconstruction, shall apply with respect to the apportionment of the cost of maintenance, repair, or reconstruction of the Rangitikei River Bridge at Bull’s on the Auckland–Wellington via Taranaki Main Highway.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Te Puke Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

Te Puke Town Board.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Te Puke Town District taken on the 4th day of February, 1926, on the proposal of the Te Puke Town Board to borrow the sum of £850 for improving and strengthening the town water-supply,—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 18; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice to Imprestees under the Public Revenues Act, 1910.

The Treasury.

Wellington, 24th February, 1926.

EVERY officer holding advances of public money is hereby required to pay to the Public Account, at the nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand, the unexpended balance of his account on or before Wednesday, the 31st March proximo, and forthwith to transmit to the Treasury at Wellington the bank receipt for such repayment, together with an account of his expenditure to the same date, as required by clause 5 of the Treasury Regulations.

With regard to disbursements which officers may require to make immediately after the close of the financial year, requisitions for the amount required are to be made in such time as to enable them to reach Wellington not later than the 15th March, so that the requisite funds may be placed
