First Meeting of the recently constituted Pukekohe Fire Board.

IN accordance with the provisions of section 36, subsection (6), of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, it is hereby
notified that the first meeting of the Pukekohe Fire Board
will be held at the Borough Council Chambers, Pukekohe,
at 1 p.m. on Monday, 8th March, 1926.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of Borough
of Gisborne.

Wellington, 17th February, 1926.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to
His Excellency the Governor-General under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described
in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough
of Gisborne and included in the County of Cook. All persons
affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the
first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to
be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.


SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF GISBORNE.

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the left bank of Taruheru
River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 22,
Block VI, Waipura Township; thence up the left bank of
the said Taruheru River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Subdivision 4, Whataupoko No. 3 Block ;
thence to and along that boundary, crossing Te Hapara Road,
and proceeding along the south-eastern boundary of Subdivision 35, Whataupoko No. 3, to the middle of Ormond Road ;
thence north-westerly along the middle of Ormond Road to a
point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Whataupoko
No. 5; thence to and along that boundary to the middle of
Howarth Street; thence south-easterly along the middle of
Howarth Street to the middle of Valley Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of Valley Road to a point in line
with the south-western boundary of Subdivision 43, Whataupoko No. 3; thence to and along that boundary to the
western boundary of the Cook Hospital site; thence southerly
generally along the western boundary of the Cook Hospital
site to the northern side of King Street; thence along the
northern side of King Street to the western boundary of Whataupoko No. 4; thence south-westerly along that boundary
to Ormond Road; thence by a right line to the middle of Dalrymple Road; thence by a line along the middle of Dalrymple Road, Stout Street, Poplar Street, and Oak Street, to
a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 22,
Waipura Township aforesaid; thence to and along that
boundary and its production to the Taruheru River, the point
of commencement.

Notice respecting Proposed Constitution of Elephant Hill River
District.

Wellington, 17th February, 1926.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to
His Excellency the Governor-General, under the River
Boards Act, 1908, and its amendments, praying that the area
described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted a river
district under the said Act, by name the Elephant Hill River
District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge
any written objections to or petitions against the constitution
of the said river district which they desire to lodge within
one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal
Affairs, Wellington.


AREA PROPOSED TO BE CONSTITUTED AS ELEPHANT HILL RIVER DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded
by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Rural
Section 22266, thence south-easterly along South Road to
the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 109, Block
XIV, Waitaki Survey District; thence westerly and southerly
along that road to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 109; thence westerly along the Main Waitaki Road to
its junction with Middle Road; thence along Middle Road
to its junction with the road intersecting Rural Section 28148 ;
thence southerly along that road to the Waitaki Main Road ;
thence westerly along the Waitaki Main Road to the south-western corner of Rural Section 18181; thence northwly
along the western boundary of R.S. 18181 to its north-western
corner; thence easterly along the road forming the northern
boundary of the said Section 18181 to the road forming the
western boundary of Rural Sections 21469 and 34206; thence
along that road to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence easterly generally along the road
forming the northern boundaries of Rural Sections 34206,
20149, 19628, 16733, E.R. 1129, R.S. 34527, 33932, 13913,
and 11519 to its junction with Pikes Point Road; thence
along Pikes Point Road to the north-eastern corner of Rural
Section 22266, the point of commencement.

Deer to cease to be Imported Game within State Forest
Plantations in the Rotorua County.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby declare that on and from the date hereof
deer shall cease to be included in the Second Schedule of the
said Act within those areas described in the Schedule hereto,
being State Forest plantations in the Rotorua County.


SCHEDULE.

WHAKAREWAREWA STATE FOREST PLANTATION.

ALL that area, containing approximately 10,200 acres, more or
less, known as Whakarewarewa State Forest Plantation, situated in Blocks I, II, V, VI, IX, and X, Tarawera Survey
District. Commencing at a point on the right bank of the
Puarenga Stream intersected by the Rotorua–Wairoa Road
and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by a
public road, Owhatiura South No. 1, Section 2b Block; towards the north-east and east by a public road, Rotomahana-Parekarangi Nos. 3, 4, and 1 Blocks, the western and southern
shores of Tikitapu Lake, again by the aforesaid public road,
the northern and western shores of Rotokakahi Lake, and
Rotomahana-Parekaranga No. 2a Block; thence towards the
west generally by the Rotorua–Waiotapu Main Road, Te Kuha
Stream, and again by the aforesaid main road; thence towards
the north-west by the Town of Rotorua; towards the south-west by Whakarewarewa No. 3 Section 1b Block; thence
towards the north-west and west generally by Section 6b,
Block I, Tarawera Survey District, and again towards the
north-west by Puarenga Stream to the point of commencement.

WAIOTAPU AND KAINGAROA STATE FOREST PLANTATIONS.

All that area, containing approximately 72,886 acres, more
or less, known as the Waiotapu and Kaingaroa State Forest
Plantations, situated in Blocks III, IV, VII, VIII, XI,
XII, XV, and XVI, Paeroa Survey District, and Blocks
II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII,
XIV, and XV, Kaingaroa Survey District. Bounded
generally as follows: Commencing at a point on the Rotorua–Galatea Road, intersected by a line bearing 21° 58'
on the eastern boundary of Waiotapu Township, and
bounded towards the north-east by the aforesaid road ;
thence towards the north-west by the Rainbow Mountain
Reserve to the Pouturua Road; thence towards the north
generally by the said road and Run 79; thence towards
the south-east and north-east by Rotomahana-Parekarangi
5b No. 5a Block; again towards the north-east by Rotomahana-Parekarangi 5b No. 5b, 5b No. 4b, and 5b No. 1 Blocks,
and Run No. 94; thence towards the north-west by Runs
Nos. 55 and 54; thence towards the north-east and east generally by the last-mentioned run and Runs Nos. 56 and 57 ;
thence towards the south generally by Run No. 58, Kaingaroa No. 1a North Block and part Paeroa East No. 4a
Block; thence towards the west generally by Sections
61s, 47s, 42s, 32s, and 27s, all of the Reporoa Soldiers
