Altering and redefining Boundaries of Hurunui Rabbit District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day
of February, 1926.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the seventeenth
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on
the twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-seven, the Hurunui Rabbit District
(hereinafter referred to as "the said district") was constituted
a district under the Rabbit Nuisance Act 1882 Amendment
Act, 1886:
And whereas by Order in Council made on the twenty-
fifth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the
twenty-eighth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-seven, the boundaries of the said district were amended
as therein appearing:
And whereas by virtue of section one of the Rabbit Nuisance
Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), the
said district enures for the purposes of the said Act as a
district constituted under Part II of the said Act:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General has this
day, in exercise of the powers conferred by section eighty-six
of the said Act, constituted and declared part of the said
district to be a rabbit-proof fencing district for the purposes
of Part IV of the said Act by the name of the Motunau Rabbit-
proof Fencing District:
And whereas it is expedient that the boundaries of the
said district shall be altered and redefined so as to exclude
therefrom the Motunua Rabbit-proof Fencing District:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the said Act, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter and redefine
the boundaries of the said district, and doth hereby declare
that the boundaries of the Hurunui Rabbit District shall be
those described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
HURUNUI RABBIT DISTRICT.
All that area in the Land Districts of Nelson and Canterbury,
bounded by a line commencing at a point on the summit of
the Brunner Range due south of the confluence of the Eight-
mile Stream and the Buller River, and proceeding thence
south-easterly along a right line to the northernmost point
of Lake Tennyson; thence along the western shore of that
lake, and down the right bank of the Clarence River to the
track over Jack's Pass; thence along that track passing over
Jack's Pass to the Hanmer Plains Main Road and along that
road to the Waiau-ua River, and down that river to the sea;
thence along the sea-shore to a point 15 chains from the
southern banks of the Black Birch Creek; thence by a line
extending in a north-westerly direction through, parallel with
the said creek, to, and across a road and the Happy Valley
Road; thence generally in a north-westerly direction through
Rural Section 25430 to the boundary-fence between Sir George
Clifford on the east and C. R. Campbell on the west as shown
on D.P. 3710 and 3713, and by the said fence-line to and across
the Glendhu Road, and continuing along the said fence-line
in a north-westerly direction to and around a bend in Stonyhurst
Road, and by the same fence-line to another point on the Stony-
hurst Road, the same being on the terrace on the right side of the
Greta River; thence by the aforesaid Stonyhurst Road in a
westerly direction to a point in line with the north-east
boundary of Rural Section 25833; thence north-westerly to
and across the Greta River and along the north-east boundary
of the aforesaid Rural Section 25833 to a point on the Omihi
Valley Road; thence in a south-westerly direction on the
south-east side of the aforesaid Omihi Valley Road to its
intersection with Motunau Road; thence in a south-easterly
direction along the north-eastern side of the aforesaid Motunau
Road to and across the Glendhu Road; thence westerly on
the south side of said road to the western boundary of Rural
Section 10651; thence southerly by the last named boundary
to the southern corner of Section 32420; thence north and
west generally by the southern boundaries of Sections 32420,
32532, 32950, 33089, and by the north boundary of Section
27698 to and across a road to the western corner of aforesaid
Section 27698; thence in a south-easterly direction by the
south-western boundaries of Sections 27698 aforesaid and
32936, crossing a road at two points, to a stream abutting the
northern boundary of Section 10634; thence by that stream
in a westerly direction to a point in line with the south-west
boundary of Sections 31828 and 32461; thence to and across
a road in a south-easterly direction by the aforesaid boundaries
to a point on the Vulcan Road; thence easterly along the
northern boundary of that road to a point opposite the
western boundary of 30983; thence southerly across Vulcan
Road and another road by the western boundary of aforesaid
Section 30983; thence easterly along the creek forming the
northern boundaries of Sections 27709 and 25836 to the sea;
thence south-westerly along the sea-coast to the Waipara
River, and up that river to its source, along a right line to
Block Hill, and along the southern summit of the Hurunui
Watershed to the Southern Alps near Harper's Pass; thence
generally along the eastern summits of the watersheds of the
Ohaura, Grey, and Inangahua Rivers to the point of commence-
ment.

Allocating Cost of certain Proceedings under Section 132 of
the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, Borough of Otaki.--
Petition of A. J. Fogden and Others.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day
of February, 1926.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one
hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations
Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby direct that the Otaki Borough Council shall
defray all the costs of the Commission appointed under
the said Act by a Warrant under the hand of His Excellency
the Governor-General dated the thirty-first day of October,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, to inquire and
report upon the proposal contained in the petition of A. J.
Fogden and others to exclude a certain area from the
Borough of Otaki and to include such area in the County of
Horowhenua.

COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one
hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations
Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby direct that the Otaki Borough Council shall
defray all the costs of the Commission appointed under
the said Act by a Warrant under the hand of His Excellency
the Governor-General dated the thirty-first day of October,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, to inquire and
report upon the proposal contained in the petition of C. H.
Williams and others to exclude certain areas from the
Borough of Otaki and to include such areas in the County
of Horowhenua.
