Loan of £16,000.
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of sixteen thousand pounds (£16,000), authorized to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a system of drainage for the North Ward of the Borough of Masterton and to provide deferred payment connections in approved cases, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence three farthings (4½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the North Ward Special-rating Area of the Borough of Masterton, being all that area of land in the North Ward of the Borough of Masterton (exclusive of the following sections: Lot 58 on deposited plan 38, part Sections 57–8 Bentley Street, and Lots 88 to 115 (inclusive) on deposited plan 1416, part Sections 58, 59, 60, 61 and 62, Masterton Small Farm Settlement, Block I, Otahoua Survey District, Oxford Street); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans’ Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waikato County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Waikato County Kainui Special-rating District No. 2 Loan of £1,500, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Waikato County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing and metalling roads in the Kainui Special-rating District No. 2, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one (1) penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Kainui Special-rating District No. 2 in the County of Waikato, being all that area in the County of Waikato, being part of Blocks IV and VIII of the Newcastle Survey District, and Blocks I and V of the Komakorau Survey District. Bounded, commencing at the north-east corner of Section Fifteen of a block of land known as the Kainui Estate, as delineated on a plan deposited in the Land Registry at Auckland as Number 6931, towards the north-east by a road bounding Sections Fifteen, Fourteen, Thirteen, and Twelve, on such plan, and Lot One on a plan deposited as aforesaid as Number 7961 to the eastern corner of such Lot One; thence towards the south-east and east by Lot Two on the said plan Number 7961 to the south-western corner of such Lot Two; thence towards the south-east by a line across a road and the south-eastern boundary of Lot Two of a subdivision of Section Seventeen on the said plan Number 6931 as delineated on a plan deposited as aforesaid as Number 13637 to a point in such south-eastern boundary thirty-six chains from the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned Lot Two; thence towards the south-west by a line intersecting Seventeen and Five on the said plan Number 6931 to the eastern corner of Section Six on the said plan Number 6931 ; thence towards the south-west by Sections Six and Seven on the said plan Number 6931 to the north-eastern corner of the said Section Seven; thence again towards the south-west by a line intersecting Section Eight on plan 6931 and across a road to the south-western corner of Allotment two hundred and thirty-two of the Parish of Komakorau ; thence towards the west by the western boundary of the said Allotment to a point in such boundary twenty-two chains from the north-west corner of the said allotment; thence towards the north by a line intersecting the said allotment to a point in the eastern boundary of the said allotment fifteen chains from the north-east corner of the said allotment; thence by the said eastern boundary of the said allotment to the south-east corner of the said allotment; thence towards the north-west by allotment Two hundred and thirty-one of the said parish to a point opposite to the commencing-point; thence towards the east by a line across a road to the commencing-point; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIAPOU COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waiapu County Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000, authorized to be raised by the Waiapu County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purchase of road machinery, the said Waiapu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/26th of a penny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Waiapu; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the lst day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned ALFRED EDWARD FOURNEAU and JOHN FORD WESTMORELAND and carried on under the style or name of “Fourneau and Westmoreland,” Farmers, at Whakatu, is dissolved as from this day.
The business hitherto carried on by the said Partnership will in future be carried on by the undersigned ALFRED EDWARD FOURNEAU.

THE GISBORNE BEDDING AND FRENCH POLISHING COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
THE following resolution was passed by the above company at a meeting held on 8th October:-
“That, in consideration of the company being unable to pay their debts, they go into voluntary liquidation, and appoint MONTAGU F. ROBINSON as Liquidator to the company.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 27th day of August, 1925, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £1,000,000 to £543,634 and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above Act was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 9th day of October, 1925.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the legal Partnership subsisting prior to the 1st day of April, 1925, between MARTIN HEYWOOD HAMPSON, of Auckland, Barrister, and GARNET GARVIN BELL, of Matamata, Solicitor, and JACK DOUGLAS DAVYS, of Rotorua, Solicitor, who practised as Barristers and Solicitors at Matamata under the firm name of “Hampson and Bell,” was dissolved as from the above date.
