ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE PHARMACY BOARD
OF NEW ZEALAND.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is my intention to proceed
on Friday, the 13th day of November, 1925, to the
election of two registered pharmaceutical chemists of New
Zealand to serve as members of the Pharmacy Board of New
Zealand, in place of the members who retire on the 31st day
of December, 1925, and are eligible for re-election. Members
will require to be elected as follows :—
Two members for the Central District, to be elected by
the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within
the District of Wellington, the boundaries of which
are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of
Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, and Marlborough.
The retiring members are JAMES CHARLES BURBERY
and WILLIAM JAMES GILLIES, who are eligible for
re-election.
Nominations will close at the office of the Registrar,
49 Ballance Street, Wellington, at 4 p.m. on Friday, the
23rd day of October, 1925.
Forms of nomination may be obtained on application to
the Registrar.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
Loan of £12,750.
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Masterton
Borough South Ward Revised Water-reticulation Loan of
£12,750, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Masterton
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the pur-
pose of providing a revised water reticulation and extension
thereof for the South Ward of the Borough of Masterton,
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
three-eighths of a penny (⅜d.) in the pound sterling on the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of
all rateable property in the South Ward of the Borough of
Masterton; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly in the month of August in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
Loan of £6,000.
That for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Masterton
Borough Water-gas Plant Installation Loan of £6,000, 1925,
authorized to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of—
(a.) Providing and installing a water-gas plant and equip-
ment;
(b.) To provide and install a coal-breaker, conveyer, and
elevator, with boilers, engines, and all equipment
incidental thereto;
(c.) To enable the Council to make advances on the instal-
ment system to owners and occupiers of premises for
the purpose of connecting with gas-mains, to provide
service pipes, cookers, and other appliances for the
use of gas and incidental thereto,
the said Masterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of three-sixteenths (3/16ths) of a penny in the
pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of
the Borough of Masterton; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be payable yearly in the month of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
