A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the national-endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forests.

Provisional State Forest No. 172.

ALL that area containing by estimation 980 acres, more or less, situated in Block V, Oparara Survey District. Bounded on the north by a public road; on the east partly by Break Creek and by Section 20 of the aforesaid block and survey district; on the south by Section 94, a road, and Section 96 of Block IX in the aforesaid district, and by Crown land; on the west partly by a public road and by Crown land.
