THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public
Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in
anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall,
upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the
control of the Bay of Islands County Council, and shall be
maintained by the said Council in like manner as other
public highways are controlled and maintained by the said
Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 3 roods 35·6 perches.
Portion of railway reserve, Block V, Russell Survey District, Bay of Islands County. (S.O. 21891, blue.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R.
30412, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways
at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of October,
1925.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia,
that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land
has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-
General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become
Crown land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of
the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909,
and its amendments:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set
out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
TAUMARUNUI Native Township Subdivision A 9A, comprising
Section 11, Block V : Area, l rood.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of
October, 1925.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir
Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the
land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do
hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second
Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road :
2 acres 2 roods 12 perches.
Portion of Allotment 62, Parish of Tahawai; coloured red,
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 3 acres o roods
30·7 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Allotment 62, Parish of Tahawai,
Allotment 95, Parish of Katikati, and Crown land ; coloured
green.
All situated in Blocks I and II, Katikati Survey District.
All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 9/1375,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2141, and thereon coloured
as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of October,
1925.

Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as roads the land
in the Waitemata Survey District described in the Schedule
hereto.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged
Soldiers under Special Tenures, in the Wellington Land
District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
revoke the Proclamation made on the third day of July,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in
the Gazette of the eighth day of July then instant, setting
apart settlement lands for selection by discharged soldiers,
under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so
far as it relates to the area in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.-SETTLEMENT LAND.
SECTION 3 and Lot l of Section 4, Omapu Settlement : Area,
87 acres 2 roods 4 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of October,
1925.
