Settlement Land in Auckland Land District proclaimed to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1922, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, whether before or after the passing of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1922, to, inter alia, be ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land described in the Schedule hereto, which is subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, shall cease to be settlement land and become ordinary Crown land for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section three, I, Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto, which is subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, shall be Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL those areas in the Auckland Land District, being originally portions of Allotment 132A, Matata Parish, situated in Block II, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 0 roods 38 perches, more or less:

Firstly, all that area containing 1 rood 6 perches, bounded on the north-west and north-east by a closed road, 237 and 302·6 links; on the south-east by Allotment 132A, Matata Parish, 420 links. Secondly, all that area containing 12 perches, bounded on the north generally by a closed road, 320 and 135 links; on the south-east by said Allotment 132A, 440 links. Thirdly, all that area containing 3 roods 20 perches, bounded on the south-west and north-west by a closed road, 352 and 276·7 links; on the north-east by the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, 321·6 links; on the south-east by Allotment 132A aforesaid, 275 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/790A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of January, 1925.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road:-

0 0 26·3 Portion of O.L.C. 104, Mangonui East Parish; coloured red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

0 0 36 Adjoining or passing through O.L.C. 104, Mangonui East Parish; coloured green.

1 3 11 Ditto.

All situated in Block VI, Mangonui Survey District.

All in the North Auckland Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1223, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2099, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion this 27th day of January, 1925.

Allocating to the Purposes of a Street Land in the Borough of Napier, taken for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway-Spit to Farndon Section-and is not now required for such purposes), shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that such street shall be maintained by the Napier Borough Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with : 7·31 perches.

Being portion of railway land.

Situated in the Borough of Napier (Hawke's Bay R.D.).
