Officer appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations under the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by section two hundred and eighty-eight of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, and section sixteen of the Justices of the Peace Amendment Act, 1923, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the person whose name is set out in the Schedule hereto, being a person holding office in the service of the Crown as stated opposite his name in the said Schedule, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section two hundred and eighty-eight of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

It is hereby notified that Inspector James Kerr Simpson, James McIlveney, Allan Cameron, Sub-Inspector John Walter Hollis, Senior Sergeant John Lander, Edward James O'Keefe McKelvey, John James O'Grady, George Bennet Edwards, John Powell, Arthur Garnet Quartermain, James Sweeney, Sergeant Patrick Cassidy, and Thomas Henry Dyer have been appointed, under the Licensing Act, 1908, to be Inspectors of Clubs for the purpose of inspecting and reporting upon chartered clubs as defined by the said Licensing Act, 1908.

to be an Examiner of Candidates for appointments as Inspectors under the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908, as from the 25th day of September, 1925.
William Maurice Webster, Esq., and John Erskine McIlwaine, Esq., to be Inspectors for the purposes of the Stock Act, 1908, and Inspectors for the purposes of the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908, as from the 22nd day of September, 1925.
John Thomas McCowan, Esq., to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Te Araroa, as from the 16th September, 1925.
Kenneth McKenzie, Esq., to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Tangoio, as from the 24th August, 1925.
Ernest Allan Wood, Esq., to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Factories Act, 1921–22, an Inspector for the purposes of the Weights and Measures Act, 1908, and an Inspector for the purposes of the Scaffolding and Excavation Act, 1922, as from the 23rd day of September, 1925.
Matthew Robert Findlay, Esq., to be Registrar of Brands under the Stock Act, 1908, for the Bruce, Tuapeka, and Clutha Branding Registration Districts, as from the 21st day of September, 1925.
