NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 6th day of July, 1925, cancelled the registry of St. Francis Xavier’s Branch, No. 623, of The New Zealand District of the Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society, Friendly Society (Register No. 198/67), held at Methven, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitomo County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the closing of a road and the construction of a new road in lieu thereof; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the first part of the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and that portion of the road being the land described in the second part of the Schedule hereto is required to be stopped. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and of that portion of the road so proposed to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate in Taupiri Street, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of such land, or by the stopping of such part of the road, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of such public work, or to the taking of the said land, or to the stopping of such road, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice—namely, the 11th day of July, 1925, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti.
