NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company held upon the 15th day of June, 1925, it was resolved that the company should proceed to liquidate and wind up its affairs for the purposes of reconstruction into a public company under the provisions of section 259 of the said Act.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Road Boards Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Tamaki Road Board proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, the formation of a road; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Board situate at Wharfe Road, St, Helier’s Bay, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Clerk of the said Board at the said office.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate area of parcel of land required to be taken : 1 acre l rood 35·2 perches, being portion of Allotment 36, Tamaki West Farms ; coloured on plan pink. Situate in the district of Tamaki West. Dated this 3rd day of July, 1925.

LOWER MANGAPIKO DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT, for the purpose of providing for the instalment in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £250, authorized to be raised by the Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for completing the reconstruction of portion of the Mangapiko Stream, and for making, widening, deepening and improving drains in the Te Rahu Special-rating Area, the said Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Te Rahu Special-rating Area classed as Class “A,” as receiving, or supposed to receive, immediate and direct benefit from the construction of drainage-works, and a special rate of one twenty-fifth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Te Rahu Special-rating Area, classed as Class “B,” as receiving or supposed to receive less direct benefit from the construction of the drainage-works, and a special rate of one one-hundred-and-twenty-fifth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Te Rahu Special-rating Area classed as Class “C,” as receiving or supposed to receive little or no direct benefit from the construction of the drainage-works ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, presented to His Honour Sir William Alexander Sim, Kt., a Judge of the Supreme Court, by ROSS AND GLENDINING (LIMITED), a company duly incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, having its registered office at High Street, Dunedin, and carrying on business there and elsewhere in New Zealand as Merchants, a creditor of the said company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five ; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of the order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of the hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose ; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory to the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held at Te Kuiti on the 23rd day of April, 1925, the following special resolution was passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary meeting of the said company held at Te Kuiti on the 19th day of May, 1925, the said resolution was duly confirmed, namely : “That the company go into voluntary liquidation, and that JOHN DOUGLAS VERNON, of Te Kuiti, Solicitor, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.” Dated at Te Kuiti this first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.
