raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying off the special loan
of £1,552 heretofore raised by the Council, which becomes due
and payable on the 20th day of July, 1925, the said Hawera
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
7/100 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of that portion of the
rateable property of the Borough of Hawera, comprising the
whole of the Borough of Hawera as originally constituted and
described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1882, Vol. 1, page 5;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of the month of April in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of two thousand four hundred pounds
(£2,400), authorized to be raised by the Levin Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing
the erection of municipal buildings, the said Levin Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirteenth
(1/13d.) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on
the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the
Borough of Levin; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
eighteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Taranaki
County Council hereby resolves as follows :-

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Taranaki
County Mangorei Riding Bridge and Road-metalling Loan of
£4,000, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Taranaki County
Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
the erection of the following concrete bridges, constructing
the approaches thereto, metalling the Lower Mangorei Road,
and in payment of the first year's interest and sinking fund
and cost of raising the loan, viz:-

The said Council, pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases to three-eighths (3/8ths)
of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of five-
sixteenths (5/16ths) of a penny in the pound sterling made
and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 1st
day of December, 1924, on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Mangorei Riding of the County of Taranaki, such rate of five-
sixteenths (5/16ths) of a penny in the pound sterling being
insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund,
and other charges on such loan ; and that such special rate
as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.

of the Companies Act, 1908, a meeting of members of

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between us, the undersigned WILLIAM
GEORGE TIDDY and JOHN FRANCIS TIDDY, both of Hawera,
carrying on business as milk-vendors, under the style or
firm of "The Ideal Dairy," was on the 1st day of June, 1925,
dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to and owing
by the late firm will be received and paid by the said JOHN
FRANCIS TIDDY, by whom the business will in future be
carried on.

Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the
members of the above-named society will be held in the
council-room, Coronation Hall, Mosgiel, on Monday, the
29th day of June, 1925, at 7.30 o'clock p.m., for the purpose
of receiving the Liquidator's account and report on the
winding-up of the society.

MATAKAOA COUNTY.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public
Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Matakaoa County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work--namely,
for deviation of road through the Tokata and Wharekakika
Blocks; and for the purposes of such public work the lands
described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of
the Clerk of the said Council, situate at Te Araroa, and is
open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary
office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public
work or to the taking of the said lands must state their
objections in writing, and send same, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk
at the Council Chambers.
