RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.--LOAN OF £7,000, PUKEROA No. 2 SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Rangitikei County Pukeroa No. 2 Special-rating District Loan of £7,000, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling for the first time the Turakina Valley Road from the northern boundary of Section 3, Block V, Tiriraukawa Survey District, to the southern boundary of Section 8, Block I, Tiriraukawa Survey District, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one (1) penny and seven-eighths (sts) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Pukeroa No. 2 Special-rating District, in the County of Rangitikei, and comprising Sections 1 to 10 inclusive, and 14 to 19 inclusive, 57, 58, and portions in Rangitikei County of 53 and 56, Block I, Tiriraukawa Survey District, Sections 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 21, 22, and 61, Part Pohonuiatane 3B (647 acres) and closed road fronting Section 2 in Block V, Tiriraukawa Survey District, Section 6, Block VIII, and portions in Rangitikei County of Sections 1, Block IV, and 1, Block VIII, Mangawhero Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing instalments in respect of the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £4,200, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling for the first time the Morrinsville-Kiwitahi Road from the Kereone Road corner to Starkey's Road (or Tahuroa Road corner), the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Morrinsville-Kiwitahi Road Special-rating Area, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland, being bounded as follows:

Commencing at a point being the western corner of Section 13, Tahuroa No. 2, Block X, Maungakawa Survey District thence in a north-easterly direction following the northern boundaries of Sections 13, 14, and 15, Tahuroa No. 2, to the most northerly point in Section 15; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-east boundary of the said Section 15 to the Topehaehae Stream; thence following the Topehaehae Stream in a generally northerly direction to the western corner of Section Te Au o Waikato A No. 5c, Block VI, Maungakawa Survey District; thence following the north-west boundaries of Te Au o Waikato A 5c and 5D to the north-east corner of Section 5D; thence following the north-east boundary of Section 5D and 4c 2 to the Piako River; thence in a southerly direction following the course of the Piako River to the north-east corner of Section Te Au o Waikato A No. 5B; thence in a south-westerly direction following the western boundary of Section 5B to the Morrinsville-Rotorua Railway line; thence in a generally easterly direction following the railway-line to where the line crosses the Piakonui River, being on the boundary-line between Blocks XI and XII, Maungakawa Survey District; thence in a generally southerly direction following the course of the Piakonui River to the most southerly point in Section Te Waikaukau No. 5; thence in a southerly direction following the eastern boundaries of Section Kiwitahi Nos. 1A, 1B, and 1C, Block XV, Maungakawa Survey District, to the south-east corner of Section No. 1C; thence in a westerly direction following the south-western boundary of Section Kiwitahi No. 1C to its intersection with Section No. 8, Te Au o Waikato, Block XV, Maungakawa Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction following the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 8, Te Au o Waikato, to its south-east corner; thence following the southern boundary of the said Section No. 8 in a north-westerly direction and a prolongation of the same line to a point in Kiwitahi No. 3B, being the north-west corner of 24, Te Miro Settlement; thence in a southerly direction following the eastern boundary of Kiwitahi No. 3B to its most southerly point; thence in a north-westerly and northerly direction following the south-western and western boundaries of Kiwitahi No. 3B and 3C to the most southerly point in Tahuroa 2, Block XIV, Tahuroa No. 2; thence in a north-westerly direction following the western boundary of Tahuroa No. 2 to the point of commencement.

Such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Thames County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000), authorized to be raised by the Thames County Council for the purpose of completing the work for which a loan was previously raised, viz : Purchasing or otherwise acquiring land at Matatoki for a metal-quarry, for road access thereto, and county depot, for road-formation and construction of tramways and railway sidings, erection of buildings and workmen's cottages, the purchase and installation of all necessary machinery and plant for the breaking and crushing of metal and the carriage, supply, and sale thereof, the said Thames County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-sixteenths (7/16ths) of one penny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value) within the Matatoki Quarry Special-rating Area, comprising all that area bounded as follows:

Commencing at a point on the left bank at the mouth of the Kauaeranga River, thence along the said left bank of the Kauaeranga River to the north-east corner of Hawaiki Block (1614); thence along the eastern boundary of the said Hawaiki Block to its intersection with the north boundary of Taparahi No. 3; thence along the said north boundary of Taparahi No. 3 and the north boundary generally of Crown land (2,284 acres), the north boundary of Taparahi No. 2B, the north-west, north-east, and south-east boundary of Taparahi No. 1 to its intersection with the north-east corner of Pakirarahi No. 2B; thence by a line along the top of a watershed in a south and south-eastern direction generally to the Waipapaka Street at the south-east corner of timber reserve (396 acres); thence along the right bank of the Waipaheke Stream, the right bank of the Hikutia Stream, to the Waihou River; thence by the right bank of the Waihou River north to the point of commencement :

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
