Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Hawera and the County of Hawera, and of the Ararata and Mokoia Ridings of the County of Hawera.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Borough of Hawera are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by an Order in Council dated the 30th day of March, 1925, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 23, of the 2nd day of April, 1925.

And also, in pursuance of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the County of Hawera affected by the said Order in Council dated the 30th day of March, 1925, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

And also in pursuance of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Ararata and Mokoia Ridings of the County of Hawera affected by the said Order in Council dated the 30th day of March, 1925, are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF HAWERA.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded on the north-east by Glover Road from the junction of Waihi Road (Normanby Road) and Glover Road to a point in line with the westernmost corner of Subdivision 14 of Section 180, Patea District, and proceeding thence north-easterly along the north-west boundaries of Subdivisions 14 and 15 of Section 180, Patea District, to and across Burns Street to the westernmost corner of Subdivision 43 of said Section 180, Patea District; thence north-easterly along the north-west boundary of said Subdivision 43 to the southernmost corner of Subdivision 63 of Section 180, Patea District; thence north-easterly along the western boundary of the said Subdivision 63 to the westernmost corner of the land shown on Plan 3600, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at New Plymouth; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the western and north-eastern boundaries of the said land to the Tawhiti Road; thence south-westerly along the north-west side of Tawhiti Road to a point in line with the north-east boundary of the land shown on plan 2592, deposited as aforesaid; thence across Tawhiti Road to and along the said north-east boundary of the said land to the westernmost corner of the land shown on plan 4202, deposited as aforesaid; thence easterly and south-easterly along the north boundary of Section 1 on plan 4202, deposited as aforesaid, and the north-east boundary of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of said plan 4202, deposited as aforesaid, to and across Subdivision 7 of Section 181, Patea District, to the northernmost corner of Section 8 on the said plan 4202; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-east and south-east boundaries of the said plan 4202, to the easternmost corner of the land shown on plan 3395, deposited as aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the south-east boundary of said land to and across Ropata Street to the north-east corner of Section 22 of the said plan 3395; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of said Section 22, the south-east boundary of Subdivision 12 of Section 185, Patea District, and the south-east boundary of Section 184, Patea District, to the southernmost corner of the said Section 184, Patea District; thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 186 and 187, Patea District, to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 546, Patea District; thence to and along that boundary across a public road and along the eastern boundary of Section 545, Patea District aforesaid, to the Great South Road; thence along the Great South Road to Waihi (Normanby) Road; thence north-westerly along Waihi Road to the junction of Waihi and Glover Roads, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF HAWERA.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of Skeet and Palmer Roads, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence by a line along the middle of Skeet Road to the Waingongoro River; thence along the middle of the Waingongoro River to Onewhaia Road, along the middle of that road to Mountain Road; thence by a right line to the southern boundary of Section 12, Block II, Hawera Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of that section to the middle of the Mangapoua Stream; along that stream to the southern boundary of Section 20, Block II, Hawera Survey District; thence by that boundary to the middle of Fraser and Tiromoana Roads to the southern boundary of Subdivision 9; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Subdivisions 9 and 8 to the south-western boundary of Section 4, Block III, Hawera Survey District; thence north-westerly along that boundary to the middle of the Ararata Stream; thence along the middle of the Ararata Stream to the junction of the Rotokare and Makino Roads; thence along the middle of the Rotokare Road to the northern boundary of Section 13, Block XV, Ngaire Survey District; thence by the northern boundaries of Sections 13, 14, and 25 to the westernmost corner of the Tutaeariari No. 1 Block; thence along the north-western boundaries of Subdivisions 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9, Tutaeariari No. 1 Block, to the Makino Stream; thence by that stream to the north-eastern boundary of Subdivision 6, Tutaeariari No. 1 Block; thence by that north-eastern boundary and its production to Roimata Trig. Station; thence by a right line to Waipuna Trig. Station; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections 2 and 4, Block XIV, Omona Survey District, to the Whenuakura Valley Road; thence along the middle of that road and the Epiro Road to the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block XV, Omona Survey District; thence by the eastern boundaries of Sections 4 and 9, Block XV aforesaid, to the Lower Moeawatea Road; thence along the middle of the Lower Moeawatea Road to a point opposite the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block IV, Opaku Survey District; thence towards the south-east generally to and by the said Section 2, Section 1, Block IV, aforesaid, and Section 2, Block III, Opaku Survey District, to Whenuakura Valley Road, along the eastern side of that road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 1, Block III aforesaid; thence to and along the southern boundary of that section, by part of the north-eastern and the south-eastern boundaries of Section 6, Block II, Opaku Survey District, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Patea River by a line along the middle of that river to the south-western boundary of Rotorangi Block; thence by a right line to Tarere Trig. Station, and in a right line to the source of the Poroporo Stream, by a line along the middle of that stream to the Ingahape Stream, along the middle of the Ingahape Stream to the Manawapou River, and along the middle of the Manawapou River to the sea; thence towards the south-west by the sea to the middle of Inaha Road; thence towards the west by a line along the middle of Inaha Road to its junction with Normanby Road; thence to and along the eastern boundary of Block III, Waimate Survey District, to Section 74, Block III aforesaid, by that section to Palmer Road; and thence by a line along the middle of Palmer Road to its junction with Skeet Road, the place of commencement; excluding therefrom the Borough of Hawera. Also all that area bounded towards the north-east by a line along the middle of Rawhitiroa Road from its junction with Lower Moeawatea Road to Koane Road; thence towards the east by a line along the middle of Koane Road to a point opposite the northern corner of Section 4, Block I, Kapara Survey District; thence to and along that section to Section 10, Block IV, Opaku Survey District; thence towards the south by Sections 10 and 3, Block IV aforesaid, to Lower Moeawatea Road; and thence towards the west along the middle of the Lower Moeawatea Road to its junction with the Rawhitiroa Road, the place of commencement.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE ARARATA RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF HAWERA.
