Officers of the Territorial Force.

H IS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the appointments, promotions, resigna-
tions, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the
Territorial Force :--

COMMANDS.

Lieutenant-Colonel J. N. McCarroll, C.M.G., D.S.O., 9th N.Z.
Mounted Rifles (North Auckland), to be Colonel, with effect
from 1st June, 1925, and is appointed to command the 1st
N.Z. Mounted Rifles Brigade. Dated 1st June, 1925.
Major M. Aldred, 3rd N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Auckland), is
appointed to command the Regiment. Dated 1st June,
1925.
Major A. C. M. Finlayson, M.C., 9th N.Z. Mounted Rifles
(North Auckland), is appointed to command the Regiment.
Dated 1st June, 1925.
The period of command of Lieutenant-Colonel R. Wyman,
D.S.O., 4th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Waikato), is extended
for one year as from the 1st June, 1925.
Major E. G. Fraser, the Auckland Regiment (Countess of
Ranfurly's Own), to be Lieutenant-Colonel, with effect
from 1st March, 1925, and is appointed to command the
Regiment. Dated 1st March, 1925.

1ST N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (CANTERBURY YEOMANRY
CAVALRY).

Colonel the Hon. Sir R. H. Rhodes, K.B.E. (D) (Retired
List), to be Honorary Colonel to the Regiment. Dated
18th May, 1925.
2nd Lieutenant C. B. Bird resigns his commission. Dated
11th May, 1925.

5TH N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (OTAGO HUSSARS).

Lieutenant J. S. Nelson is transferred to the Reserve of
Officers, Class II (b) R.D. 10. Dated 9th May, 1925.

6TH N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (MANAWATU).

Herbert Langdale Andrews to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated
6th May, 1925.
Lieutenant J. R. Taylor is transferred to the Reserve of
Officers, Class II (b) R.D. 5. Dated 11th May, 1925.

THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.

2nd Lieutenant M. F. Moore to be Lieutenant (10th Battery),
Dated 11th May, 1925.

THE CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.

Southern Depot.

2nd Lieutenant J. S. L. Deem is transferred to the Wellington
West Coast Regiment. Dated 9th May, 1925.

THE N.Z. INFANTRY.

The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own).

Lieutenant E. B. C. Murray (1st Battalion) is transferred to
the Otago Regiment. Dated 6th May, 1925.
2nd Lieutenant W. C. J. Perry (2nd C. Battalion) is transferred
to the Wellington Regiment. Dated 8th May, 1925.
2nd Lieutenant N. S. Cassrels, from the Hauraki Regiment, to
be 2nd Lieutenant (3rd C. Battalion), with seniority as from
the 14th November, 1921.
2nd Lieutenant E. P. Baty is transferred to the Waikato Regi-
ment. Dated 11th May, 1925.

The Hauraki Regiment.

Battalion), with seniority as from the 22nd November,
1923.

The Wellington Regiment.

2nd Lieutenant W. C. J. Perry, from the Auckland Regiment
(Countess of Ranfurly's Own), to be 2nd Lieutenant (1st
C. Battalion), with seniority as from the 8th June, 1922.

2nd Lieutenant C. L. Brock (1st Battalion) is transferred to the
Canterbury Regiment. Dated 7th May. 1925.

Alexander Martin McBey Rennie to be 2nd Lieutenant

Don (2nd C. Battalion) lapses. Dated 8th May, 1925.

The Taranaki Regiment.

Captain A. Smith (1st Battalion) is transferred to the Reserve
of Officers, Class I (b) R.D. 8. Dated 11th May, 1925.

The Canterbury Regiment.

Major O. W. Williams, M.C., is transferred from the 4th
C. Battalion to the 1st C. Battalion, with seniority as from
the 17th August, 1920.

Lieutenant G. M. McKenzie is transferred to the Reserve of
Officers, Class l (b) R.D. 10. Dated 7th May, 1925.

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 27, of
30th April, 1925, relating to 2nd Lieutenant L. C. Howells
(1st C. Battalion), is cancelled.

The Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment.
