ALLOCATING TO THE PURPOSES OF A ROAD LAND IN BLOCK III,
PUKETAPU SURVEY DISTRICT, TAKEN FOR A RAILWAY.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described
in the Schedule here-to-and which was taken for the purposes
of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Napier Northwards,
Tutira Section) and is not now required for such purposes-
shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette,
become a road, and that such road shall be maintained by
the Hawke's Bay County Council in like manner as other
public highways are controlled and maintained by the said
Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with : 1 rood
5 perches, being railway land, formerly portion of Petane
No. 1 Block.
Situated in Block III, Puketapu Survey District (Hawke's
Bay R.D.). (S.O. 802, green.)
In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 61655,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of May,
1925.

Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other
power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I,
General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land
described in the Schedule here-to to be Crown land subject to
the Land Act, 1924.

WORKS IN BLOCK VI, HUIROA SURVEY DISTRICT, COUNTY OF INGLE-
WOOD.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Go-
vernor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
here-to is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction
of electric works, and shall vest in the Taranaki Electric-
power Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I
do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the fourteenth day of June, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-five.

above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land Dis-
trict.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of May,
1925.

PROCLAIMING NATIVE LAND TO HAVE BECOME CROWN LAND.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia,
that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land
has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-
General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become
Crown land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule here-to has been duly completed by or on behalf of
the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909,
and its amendments:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set
out in the Schedule here-to has become Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
NGATIHAUPOTO 7A 2 Block, being Lot 2, Section 106, Block I,
Opunake Survey District: Approximate area, 28 acres
3 roods 37 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-

Zealand intituled the Prisons Act, 1908, it is enacted
that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation in the New
Zealand Gazette, declare that any prison or police-gaol shall
