accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1913.

MANUNUI TOWN BOARD.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers
of the Town District of Manunui, taken on the 13th day of
December, 1924, on the proposal of the Manunui Town
Board to borrow the sum of £1,000 for advances to property-
owners of cost or part of cost of installation of electricity in
their premises,
the Borough of Paeroa was taken on the 17th day of
December, 1924, on the proposal of the Paeroa Borough
Council to borrow the sum of £6,000 for the purpose of en-
larging, renewing, and extending water-mains and reticula-
tion in the Borough of Paeroa.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 168 ;
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 44.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Paeroa was taken on the 17th day of December,
1924, on the proposal of the Paeroa Borough Council to
borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of assisting the
ratepayers in the Borough of Paeroa to connect with the
sewers.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Paeroa was taken on the 17th day of December,
1924, on the proposal of the Paeroa Borough Council to
borrow the sum of £6,500 for the purpose of purchasing the
assets of the Ohinemuri Light and Power Company (Limited),
in liquidation, and effecting improvements to the buildings,
plant, and mains of the said company.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 81 ;
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 126.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Result of Poll.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1913, I hereby give public notice that at the poll of ratepayers
in the above county taken on Saturday, the 13th day of
December, 1924, on the proposal to raise a special loan of
£50,000, of which £38,000 is for the purpose of the construc-
tion and reconstruction of main highways in the county, and
£12,000 is for the purpose of acquiring plant, machinery, and
other things, all as set out in the public notice of the said
proposal, the following votes were recorded :
For the proposal, 1,954; against the proposal, 693 : total,
2,647.
The total number of valid votes recorded in favour of the
proposal being more than three-fifths of the total number
of such votes recorded at the poll, I hereby declare the said
proposal to be carried.

the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 138;
the number of informal votes was 24.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
