PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, public notice is hereby given that at the poll of rate-
payers of the Mangorei Riding of the County of Taranaki, taken on the 7th day of November, 1924, on the proposal of the Taranaki County Council to borrow the sum of £4,000, apportioned as follows: £3,471 for constructing bridges in the Mangorei Riding, £280 for metalling Lower Mangorei Road, £224 for the payment of the interest for the first year and £25 in payment of the cost of raising the loan,— The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 48; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 10.
I therefore declare that the above proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the City of Auckland was taken on the 17th day of December, 1924, on the proposal of the Auckland City Council to borrow the sum of £710,000 for the formation and improvement of various streets, the paving and improvement of other streets, the widening, improvement, and paving of Quay Street, all in the City of Auckland, and the provision of plant, machinery, and accessories for street-work.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,371; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 868; and the number of informal votes was 8.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
