THE eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the Taranaki Land District, Borough of New Plymouth, known as Weymouth Street, fronting Section 194, Town of New Plymouth. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 62329, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

Restricting the Importation of Poultry from all Countries other than Australia. (C. No. 25.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 4th day of May, 1924.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section forty-six of the Customs Act, 1913, as amended by the Customs Amendment Act, 1921, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, save in accordance with the terms of a permit issued by the Minister of Agriculture, the importation of any live poultry (including domestic fowls, ducks, geese, and turkeys) from any country other than the Commonwealth of Australia, unless each lot is accompanied by a certificate dated not more than one month before the exportation of the poultry to which it relates and signed by a responsible officer of the Government of the country of export certifying that fowl-pest (Pestis gallinarum) has not been known to occur in that country during a period of two years immediately preceding the date of the certificate.

Warrant authorizing the Minister of Public Works to construct a Bridge and Approaches over the Waihou River at Kopu, and apportioning the Cost.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section one hundred and nineteen of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Minister of Public Works to construct the bridge and approaches described in the Schedule hereto; and I do also hereby declare that the cost thereof to the extent of twelve thousand pounds shall be borne by the Thames Borough Council, to the extent of twelve thousand pounds by the Hauraki Plains County Council, and to the extent of six thousand pounds by the Thames County Council; and I do further direct that any contribution hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Thames Borough Council, the Hauraki Plains County Council, and the Thames County Council respectively shall be paid from time to time out of the funds of the said Councils within a period of one month after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Minister of Public Works, and all such payments shall be made to the credit of the Public Account, and bank receipts sent to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

THAT bridge in the Auckland Land District over the Waihou River, together with approaches thereto, in Blocks VII and VIII, Thames Survey District. As the site of the said bridge and approaches is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 61875, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of May, 1925.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and fifty-nine of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the North Auckland, Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified in the said Schedule.
