WAIRARAPA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Wairarapa Electric-power Board at a meeting of the said Board held at Carterton on the 23rd day of March, 1925, hereby resolved as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £16,000 authorized to be raised by the said Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the undertaking authorized by the poll of the ratepayers of the Wairarapa Electric-power District held on the 27th day of April, 1921, as modified by the provisions of section 82 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1922, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth (1/12th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairarapa Electric-power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership business heretofore subsisting between WILLIAM FENSOM and WILLIAM JAMES CARPINTER, carrying on business at Hamilton as Bricklayers under the style or firm of “Fensom and Carpinter,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 28th day of March, 1925.

THE Partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned under the name or style of “The Motor Parcels Delivery Company,” as Carriers at Dunedin, has been dissolved as from 13th February, 1925.
The business will be carried on under the old name by the undersigned GEORGE MUIRHEAD TORRANCE, who will receive all debts due to the firm and pay all liabilities.

THE CANTERBURY (N.Z.) MARINE SALT COMPANY (LIMITED).
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Canterbury Marine Salt Company (Limited).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at 160 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Thursday, the 26th day of March, 1925, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. HUBERT THORNE WHITTINGHAM, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RESOLUTION, TO WIND UP.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the OTAGO CO-OPERATIVE TALLOW AND BY-PRODUCTS COMPANY (LIMITED).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company at Dunedin on the 3rd day of March, 1925, the subjoined resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company at Dunedin on the 24th day of March, 1925, such resolution was duly confirmed as a special resolution:—
RESOLUTION.
That, having regard to the agreement dated the 21st day of January, 1925, entered into by this company for the sale to McLeod Brothers (Limited), of Dunedin, of all the company’s lands, buildings, plant, goodwill, and machinery, and also of its stock of raw materials, this company be wound up voluntarily, and that SAMUEL PHILIP MIRAMS, of Dunedin, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
THE Partnership heretofore existing between EDMUND MAHONY, CYRIL OSMOND MAHONY, and ALAN ALDRICH DIGNAN, under the name of “Mahony, Son, and Dignan,” Barristers and Solicitors, 38 Shortland Street, Auckland, and King Street, Pukekohe, has been dissolved as from the 31st day of March, 1925, by the retirement of Mr. Edmund Mahony.
The business will henceforth be carried on by the undersigned at Mahony’s Buildings, 38 Shortland Street, Auckland, and at King Street, Pukekohe, under the style or firm name of “Mahony and Dignan.”
