  1. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely :—
    (a.) Bookmakers.
    (b.) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and bookmakers’ agents.
    (c.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association.
    (d.) Common prostitutes and persons who habitually consort with thieves or persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
    (e.) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of housebreaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues, and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.

Provided always that the Stipendiary Stewards’ Committee appointed by the New Zealand Trotting Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation, should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.

The foregoing regulations of the Taranaki Trotting Club were made and passed by such club on the 25th day of March, 1925, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

BOROUGH OF PETONE.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and their amendments, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Petone Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying off the matured Petone Borough Sewerage Drainage Supplementary Loan, 1915, of £3,400, the Petone Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eleventh (1/11th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the district known as the Petone Eastern Special-rating Area, as defined by resolution of the Petone Borough Council passed on the 14th day of December, 1914; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years from the 1st day of March, 1925, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—SEDGWICK ROAD LOAN.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waikato County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £2,000 authorized to be raised by the Waikato County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of constructing and metalling roads in the Sedgwick Special-rating Area, the said Waikato County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny halfpenny (1½d.) in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Sedgwick Special-rating Area, comprising Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 (plan 233, black) of 7/8 of Section 465, Taupiri Parish; Lots 4, 5, 7, and part 3 (plan 233, black) of 7/8 of Section 465, Taupiri Parish; Lot 9 and part 8 of Section 465, Taupiri Parish (plan C/120); Lots 1, 2 on deposited plan 14215 of 129 to 134, 131A, &c., Taupiri Parish; Lot 5 on deposited plan 10477 and Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, on deposited plan 8766 of 118, 119, 120, Taupiri Parish; and Lot 4 on deposited plan 10193 and Lot 3 on deposited plan 14215 of Lots parts 116, 117, 118, 120, 121, and 122, Taupiri Parish; all of the above lots and sections are situated in Blocks IX and X, Hapuakohe Survey District, County of Waikato; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE partnership now existing between the undersigned, carrying on business as Saddle-tree and Ladies’ Heel Manufacturers at 85 Wellesley Street, Auckland, under the style of “J. Edwards and Sons,” is hereby dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st March, 1925.
