LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of certificate
of title, Vol. 41, folio 206, Gisborne Registry, for 6
acres 3 roods 3 perches, being Lot 19 on a plan deposited in
the Land Registry Office at Gisborne under Number 1341,
being part of the Whataupoko Number 3 Block, delineated
on the public map of Block II, Turanganui Survey District,
whereof WILLIAM BRUCE, of Gisborne, Sheep-farmer, is
the registered proprietor, notice is hereby given that it is my
intention to issue a provisional certificate of title after the
expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette con-
taining this notice.
Dated at the Land Registry Office at Gisborne, the 1st
day of April, 1925.

APPLICATION having been made to me for the issue
of a provisional certificate of title in the name of
HERBERT FREDERICK CLARIDGE, of Wellington,
Manufacturer, for 16·2 perches, more or less, being part of
Section 3, Evans Bay District, and being Lot 1 on deposited
plan 2270, and being the whole of the land in certificate of
title, Vol. 267, folio 111, and evidence having been lodged
of the loss of the said certificate of title, I hereby give
notice that I will issue the provisional certificate of title as
requested, after fourteen days from the date of the Gazette
containing this notice.

forbidding the same within one calendar month from the

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect
of principal and interest, and also the other charges on a loan
of one thousand pounds (£1,000), to be called “The Stratford
Borough Housing Loan of £1,000, 1924,” authorized to be
raised by the Stratford Borough Council from the State
Advances Superintendent under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings pursuant to
the authority contained in sections 330 and 331 of the Muni-
cipal Corporations Act, 1920, on any land purchased, acquired,
or appropriated by the Stratford Borough Council for the
purpose, either within the Borough of Stratford or adjacent
thereto, the said Stratford Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of three-eightieths of a penny
(3/80d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the
basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of
the Borough of Stratford, comprising the whole of the Borough
of Stratford ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the
first day of August in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a
half, or until the said loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members
of the Taranaki Trotting Club at a meeting held on the
25th day of March, 1925, at New Plymouth, with a recom-
mendation by the chairman of such club, Mr. Walter Crowley
Weston, that the same be passed at once with a view to their
approval by His Excellency the Governor-General in pursuance
of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. Walter Crowley Weston, the Chairman of such club
and the meeting, moved, and Mr. Harold John Brookman
seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should
be adopted, and that the Chairman and Secretary be autho-
rized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to :—

THE TARANAKI TROTTING CLUB.

REGULATIONS.

(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf con-
tained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other
powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Taranaki
Trotting Club, a trotting club within the meaning of the said
Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby
make the following regulations controlling the admission of
persons to that part of the racecourse situated in the district
of New Plymouth, and known as the Taranaki Jockey Club’s
Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by
the said club for race meetings.

  1. These regulations shall come into force on the date of
    the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.
  2. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “trotting
    club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed
    to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act,
    1908,
