✨ Government Orders and Declarations
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall,
on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-five, become a Government road.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND-Wellington via Taranaki : All that portion of the
road known as the Auckland-Wellington via Taranaki Road,
commencing at its junction with the Mangatuna Road and
proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via
Uruti, and terminating at its junction with the Pukearuhe
Road at Section 22, Block IV, Waitara Survey District,
passing through the County of Clifton, being a distance of
13 miles 20 chains, more or less ; marked A-B on plan. As
the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
M.H. 28, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
thereon coloured blue and marked as above mentioned.

Declaring a Public Highway in the No. 7 Highway District
to be a Main Highway.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day
of March, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE Sir FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by section three of the Main Highways
Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him
in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby declare that on and after the first day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, the public highway
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be a main highway
within the meaning and for the purpose of the Main High-
ways Act, 1922.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND-Wellington Road via Taranaki : All that portion
of the Auckland-Wellington Road via Taranaki, commencing
at its junction with the Mangatuna Road and proceeding

the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of Waitara, passing

Extending the Operation of Heavy-traffic Licenses.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day
of March, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE Sir FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eighteen of the Public Works Amendment Act,
1924, and of every other power and authority in anywise
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby direct that any licenses issued
by the Auckland City Council under its by-laws in respect
of heavy traffic or in respect of vehicles plying for hire shall
extend and be available within the districts of all local autho-
rities in the area extending from the northern boundary of
the Waitemata County to the southern boundary of the
Franklin County.

License authorizing John Henry Dudderidge to extend Electric
Lines in the Borough of Blenheim.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day
of March, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE Sir FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911,
and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that
behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth—subject
to the conditions set forth in the Schedule to the Order in
Council dated the twenty-fifth day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 71 of the twenty-seventh day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three,
authorizing John Henry Dudderidge, of Blenheim, Hotel-
keeper, to erect electric lines in portion of the Borough of
Blenheim, and to the regulations made under section two of
the aforesaid Act, and dated the ninth day of October, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in
New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of the same month,
or any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof
or in substitution therefor, and which regulations shall be
deemed to be incorporated herein—hereby authorize the
said John Henry Dudderidge to erect and maintain electric
lines for lighting, power, and heating purposes along the
route described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ROUTE OF ELECTRIC LINES.
ALL that route commencing at the premises occupied by
M. Healy, situated on part of Lot 19 of Sections 1 and 3,
Omaka Block, Borough of Blenheim, Marlborough Land Dis-
trict, and proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction
across Market Street South to the premises of Dr. Ball in the
Bank of New South Wales Building, situated on part Sec-
tion 108, Borough of Blenheim. As the said route is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 61145,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
shown by a green line.

Providing that Regulations under the Explosive and Dangerous
Goods Amendment Act, 1920, shall take effect as By-laws
within certain Specified Boroughs.

WHEREAS the Minister of Internal Affairs, in pursuance
of the powers conferred upon him by section fifteen
of the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act, 1920,
did by notice dated the fifteenth day of December, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, require the several
Borough Councils mentioned in the Schedule hereto, being
licensing authorities under the said Act, to make by-laws
under and for the purposes of the said Act:
And whereas the said Borough Councils have failed to
make such by-laws:
And whereas by Order in Council made on the fifth day of
December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and
gazetted on the eighth day of December then instant (herein-
after termed “the said Order in Council”), regulations were
made under the said Act and declared to take effect and be
in force in the districts of the Borough Councils set out in
the First Schedule to the said Order in Council:
And whereas it is desirable to provide that the said regu-
lations shall be in force in the districts of the Borough Councils
set forth in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by section fifteen aforesaid, doth hereby amend the said
