RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES AS SECURITY FOR LOANS.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Henderson Town Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £13,600, authorized to be raised by the Henderson Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of streets-improvements, the Henderson Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-pence (3d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Henderson Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Henderson Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of construction of footpaths, the Henderson Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (¼d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Henderson Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £850, authorized to be raised by the Henderson Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the purchase and improvement of land known as the "Falls Property," for the purposes of a recreation reserve, the Henderson Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-farthing (¼d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Henderson Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £650, authorized to be raised by the Henderson Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the purchase of land for office-site and the erection of building for public offices and meeting-room, the Henderson Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-farthing in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Henderson Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MOUNT WELLINGTON ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Local Bodies' Finance Act, 1921-1922, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Mount Wellington Road Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of principal and the payment of interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000, authorized to be raised by the Mount Wellington Road Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing permanent roads within the Mount Wellington Road District and purchasing machinery and plant, the said Mount Wellington Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and three-eighths pence in the pound (1⅜d. in the £1) upon the rateable (capital) value of all rateable property of the said Mount Wellington Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and, further, that the said Mount Wellington Road Board doth hereby appropriate and pledge such special rate as security for the repayment of principal and the payment of interest and other charges on the said loan.
