I, ARTHUR CORBETT (heretofore called and known by the name of “Arthur Stevens”), of Kaiwaka, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay and Dominion of New Zealand, Labourer, hereby give notice that on the twenty fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of “Stevens,” and assumed and adopted, and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the said Christian name of “Arthur” and the surname of “Corbett” instead of the surname of “Stevens”; and I give further notice that by deed poll dated the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court Office at Napier, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Stevens,” and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the names of “Arthur Corbett” instead of “Arthur Stevens,” and so as to be at all times thereafter called and known and described by the names of “Arthur Corbett.”

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges upon a loan of four hundred (400) pounds for the purpose of completing the metalling of the Warkworth-Kaipara Flats Road, such loan of £400 being a ten per cent. additional loan on a loan of £4,000 authorized by the rate-payers in the Warkworth-Kaipara Flats Special-rating District for the purpose of metalling the Warkworth-Kaipara Flats Road, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Warkworth-Kaipara Flats Special-rating District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years (36½ years), or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £250 authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of metalling Seales Road for the first time, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and three farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable properties in the Seales Road Special-rating Area comprising—Part Lot 6 (D.P. 7445) of 18/19 Motumaho No. 2, Blocks II, VI, Maungakawa Survey District (41 acres); part 7, Lot 7, on the said D.P. 7445 (15 acres); and part 21, Motumaho No. 2 (20 acres)—and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
