ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of February, 1925.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section four of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General may by Order in Council, on the application of any Borough Council, declare the district within the jurisdiction of such Borough Council to be a fire district under the said Act:

And whereas an application has been made by the Otaki Borough Council in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and it appears expedient to grant the said application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the Borough of Otaki to be a fire district under the said Act.

The Western Side of Portion of Mardale Street and the Southern Side of Portion of Shetland Street, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of February, 1925.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, viz.:

“That the Council of the City of Dunedin hereby resolves that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the western side of Mardale Street, and the southern side of Shetland Street, in the City of Dunedin, where the said portions of the said street abut on allotment 81, L.T.P. 1028, Township of Anderson; as the said portions of the said streets are more particularly shown by brown colour on the plan hereunto annexed”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the western side of the portion of Mardale Street or the southern side of the portion of Shetland Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portions of streets.


SCHEDULE.

THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Mardale Street, fronting a subdivision of Allotment 81, L.T.P. 1028, Township of Anderson.

Also the southern side of all that portion of street, situated in the said land district and city, known as Shetland Street, fronting a subdivision of Allotment 81, L.T.P. 1028, Township of Anderson.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 61649, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured brown.

The Eastern Side of Portion of Calvert Road, in the Borough of New Plymouth, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of February, 1925.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the New Plymouth Borough Council on the nineteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, viz.:

“That the New Plymouth Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the street hereinafter mentioned, hereby resolves and declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen, subsection one, of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the eastern side of Calvert Road to which part Section 3, Fitzroy District, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title Volume 110, folio 41, Taranaki Register, has frontage”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the eastern side of the portion of Calvert Road (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.


SCHEDULE.

THE eastern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Taranaki Land District, Borough of New Plymouth, known as Calvert Road, extending between South Road and Devon Road. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 61526, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The Eastern Side of Portion of Poro Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of February, 1925.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, viz.:

“The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the eastern side of all that portion of Poro Street beginning at its junction with Henry Street and extending for a distance of 125·32 links, being that portion of street fronting Lot 103 (D.P. 65), part Section 4, Evans Bay Registration District, Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the eastern side of the portion of Poro Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
