PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Featherston, taken on the 28th day of October, 1924, on the proposal of the Featherston Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,200 for the purpose of rebuilding of the bridges in the borough over Donald’s Creek in Fitzherbert Street and over Abbotts Creek in Moore Street,—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 48; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 9.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Stanley Bay Reserve Rating-area (being all that portion of the Borough of Devonport west of a line commencing at low-water mark on Ngataringa Bay at the north-eastern corner of Lot 4 of 25 of Allotments 30/31, thence by a right line along the eastern boundaries of Lots 24, 23, 22, 20, 25, 14, and 1 of Allotment 30, Section 2, Parish of Takapuna, and its production to low-water mark on the Waitemata Harbour) taken on the 6th day of November, 1924, on the proposal of the Devonport Borough Council to borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of carrying out improvements in that area within the Borough of Devonport, containing 7 acres 3 roods, more or less, and known as “Stanley Bay Reserve,” and shown on plan No. 15479, deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland, by raising the level of such area and equipping such area to make it suitable for various sports,—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 210; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 97; informal, 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Te Rapa Drainage District, County of Waipa.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Te Rapa Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed inclusion which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE TE RAPA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District and bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Waikato River in line with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section 110, Horotiu Parish, thence down the left bank of the Waikato River to the boundary of the Ngaruawahia Borough as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1921, page 501; thence by that boundary to the Waipa River; thence up the right bank of the Waipa River to a point in line with the road forming the northern boundary of Sections 55, 62, 63, and 21, Suburbs of Ngaruawahia; thence easterly along that road to the road forming the western boundary of Section 161, Horotiu Parish; thence southerly along that road to the road intersecting Section 161 aforesaid; thence south-easterly along that road to the north boundary of the Te Rapa Drainage District; thence by the northern and eastern boundaries of the aforesaid drainage district to the south-eastern corner of Section 110, Horotiu Parish; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 110 aforesaid to the Waikato River, the point of commencement.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included in the Borough of Riccarton.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF WAIMAIRI AND INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF RICCAR'TON.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point at the intersection of the middle-line of Clyde Road with the middle of the southern branch of Avon River; thence along the present northern boundary of the Borough of Riccarton to the junction of the southern branch of Avon River with the main Avon River; thence along the middle of the main Avon River to the middle of the Waimairi Stream; thence westerly along the middle of the said Waimairi Stream to the intersection of the middle-line of Clyde Road; thence southerly along the middle of Clyde Road to the point of commencement.

My Lord,—With reference to my predecessor’s despatch, Dominions No. 378, of the 6th October, 1923, I have the honour to transmit to Your Excellency, for the information of your Ministers, copies of a circular issued by the Nobel Committee of the Norwegian Parliament, regarding nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize for 1925.
- I should be glad if your Ministers would cause the conditions of the prize to be made known to those bodies and persons who are qualified to nominate candidates.

NOBEL PEACE PRIZE.
ALL proposals of candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize, which is to be distributed December 10th, 1925, must, in order to be taken into consideration, be laid before the Nobel Committee of the Norwegian Parliament by a duly qualified person before the 1st of February of the same year.
