The Western Side of Portion of Ranfurly Avenue, in the One Tree Hill Road District, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of December, 1924.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the One Tree Hill Road Board on the fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, viz. :
"That the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that part of Ranfurly Avenue fronting Lots 49 and 50 of a subdivision of part of Allotment 18 of Section 11 of the Suburbs of Auckland";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the western side of the portion of Ranfurly Avenue (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.
SCHEDULE.
THE western side of all that portion of road situated in the North Auckland Land District, One Tree Hill Road District, known as Ranfurly Avenue, abutting on Lots 49 and 50 of part Allotment 18, Section 11, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 60756, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

Notice of Change of the Purpose of a Reserve in the Town of Hamilton West, Auckland Land District.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for Post and Telegraph purposes, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the purpose of such reserve:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for Post and Telegraph purposes to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government. And I do hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the provisions of that section.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Section 407 (Post and Telegraph reserve), situate in Town of Hamilton West. Bounded towards the north-west by Knox Street, 376·4 links; towards the north-east by Section 481, Town of Hamilton West, 365·4 and 179·2 links; again towards the north-east by part of Section 407 of the aforesaid town and Lot 1 as shown on plan No. 16697, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, 656 links; towards the south-east generally by Richmond Street and part of Section 407B (reserve for police purposes) of the aforesaid town, 305·6, 100, and 250 links; towards the south-west by Anglesea Street, 921·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/273, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. Auckland plan No. 378 (blue).

Revoking a Warrant apportioning the Cost of maintaining Portion of the Rocks or Main Road in the City of Nelson and the Town District of Tahunanui.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant dated the twentieth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 18, of the twenty-second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, apportioning the cost of maintaining portion of the Rocks or Main Road in the City of Nelson and the Town District of Tahunanui.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this 2nd day of December, 1924.

Appointing a Member of the Patea Harbour Board.

WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-eight of the Harbours Act, 1923, that in the event of an extraordinary vacancy in the office of an elective member of a Harbour Board other than a representative of a constituent district the Governor-General may, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place:
And whereas Frederick William Grainger, an elective member of the Patea Harbour Board, being representative of the combined district of the Patea Borough and the Waverley Town District Subdivision of the harbour district, has resigned his office by writing under his hand delivered to the Secretary of the Board, thereby creating an extraordinary vacancy on the Board, and it is desirable to appoint some qualified person in his place:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint
Alfred Horace Hodge
to be a member of the Patea Harbour Board as a representative of the combined district of the Patea Borough and the Waverley Town District Subdivision of the harbour district, in place of the said Frederick William Grainger, resigned.

Appointment of Member of Island Council of Mangaia, Cook Islands.

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by section sixty-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, and by an Order in Council of the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, establishing (inter alia) an Island Council for the Island of Mangaia in the Cook Islands, and determining the constitution thereof, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby nominate and appoint
Tangimetua,
of the District of Tamarua, to be a member of the said Island Council of Mangaia, in lieu of Oruru, deceased, to hold office during my pleasure as from the date hereof.
