Declaring Crown Lands in Karamea-Westland Mining District, Westland Land District, open for Disposal on Renewable Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining district not held under lease or license, or for which a lease or license has been cancelled, to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-third section of the said Act, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open on Tuesday, the ninth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, for disposal as provided in section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.—
KARAMEA-WESTLAND MINING DISTRICT.
Inangahua County.—Mawheraiti Survey District.
SECTION 4, Block IV: Area, 23 acres 3 roods 2 perches. Capital value, £50. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1.
The section adjoins the main Reefton-Greymouth Road and Railway; three miles from a school and telephone-office. Access from Reefton, about eight miles distant, by good metalled road or railway. The section is all flat, a small area being open land, balance manuka-scrub and gorse. Soil of fair to good quality; well watered by the Little Grey River. Altitude, 590 ft. above sea-level.
Murchison County.—Burnett Survey District.
Section 10A, Block XI: Area, 349 acres. Capital value, £350. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £7.
Situated in Maruia Valley, about three miles from Warwick Junction and store. Section lies well to the sun, and has a splendid homestead-site on the open land. Access from Murchison, about thirty miles distant, by good road, then easy ford across Maruia River. About 25 acres of good open land, little scrub in places, with good grass. Remainder of section is undulating and hillside; all bushclad; well watered. Altitude, 1,000 ft. to 1,800 ft. above sea-level.
Murchison County.—Maruia Survey District.
Section 10, Block IV: Area, 17 acres. Capital value, £20. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 8s.
Situated on the Doughboy Stream Road off Maruia Valley, about half a mile to Hinekaka Post-office. The Doughboy Stream runs right through the whole length of the section. Practically all flat land, most of the section being in standing bush; fair soil.
Buller County.—Mokihinui Survey District.
Section 7, Block X: Area, 49 acres 2 roods 12 perches. Capital value, £140. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £2 16s.
Section adjoins the Township of Mokihinui; about twenty-seven miles from Westport by road or rail, and one mile from Mokihinui Railway-station. Has frontage to the Tasman Sea. Approximately 40 acres in bush, the remainder being rushes, swampy in places, with soil of good quality on shingle formation. Bush comprises rata, birch, and white-pine, with a dense undergrowth. Well watered. Altitude 5 ft. to 25 ft. above sea-level.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the twenty-second day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of January then instant, setting apart Crown land for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 13, Block XV, Wharepapa Survey District: Area, 367 acres 1 rood.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of October, 1924.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the twenty-second day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of January then instant, setting apart settlement land for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
SECTION 1, Nesdale No. 2 Settlement (formerly described as Section 8, Block XIV, Apiti Survey District, Nesdale No. 2 Settlement): Area, 100 acres.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of October, 1924.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the thirteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, setting apart settlement land for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

Marlborough County.—Linkwater Dale Settlement.
SECTION 7s, Block IX, Linkwater Survey District: Area, 5 acres.
