north-east corner of Section 16, Block III, Toetoes Survey District; thence by a line due east, for a distance of 7091 links, to the western boundary of the education endowment produced; thence towards the west by Crown land; thence towards the north-east generally by the education endowment aforesaid to Trig. G. S., Block VIII, Mokoreta Survey District; thence by a line due south from the said Trig. G.S. to the bush edge; thence towards the south generally by the bush edge aforesaid to a public road forming the western boundary of Section 7, Block IX, Mokoreta Survey District; thence towards the west by the aforesaid public road; thence towards the south by sections 6 and 5, Block IX, Mokoreta Survey District; towards the west by Section 4, Block IX, Mokoreta Survey District; again towards the south by Sections 4 and 3, Block IX, Mokoreta Survey District; towards the west by Section 16, Block III, Toetoes Survey District, to the place of commencement.

Provisional State Forest No. 47.

All that area, containing 5,250 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XI and XIV, Mokoreta Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on a public road in Block XIV, Mokoreta Surve District, 100 chains due east of Trig. F.F., Block XI, Mokoreta Survey District; thence by a line due north to the southern boundary of Block VI, Mokoreta Survey District aforesaid; thence towards the north by Block VI aforesaid; towards the east by the Otago Land District; towards the south by the aforesaid public road to the place of commencement.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 217/1, deposited in the Head Office, State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of September, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

By virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-ROTORUA FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

Provisional State Forest No. 71.

ALL that area of land containing by admeasurement 725 acres, more or less, being Section 1, Block IX, Horohoro Survey District, bounded towards the north generally by a road ; towards the east by Provisional State Forest No. 31 (New Zealand Gazette, 1920, page 2109), 3358 links ; towards the south by Tokoroa No 1 Block, 16879 links ; towards the west by Patetere South No. 2 Block, 4644ยท9 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan No. 38/6, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of September, 1924.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forests.

SCHEDULE.

Otago Land District.-SOUTHLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

Provisional State Forest No. 48.

ALL that area, containing by measurement 446 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Sections 1 and 4, Block XIV, Tautuku Survey District.

Provisional State Forest No. 49.

All that area, containing by measurement 179 acres 2 roods 38 perches, more or less, being Sections 14 and 15, Block VIII, Tautuku Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on Plan No. 218/1, deposited in the Head Office, State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon washed green.with neutral border.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of September, 1924.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the Gazette of the eighth day of June, then instant, setting apart Crown lands for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 5, Block X, Pakaumanu Survey District : Area, 355 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of September, 1924.
