Declaring a certain Area added to the County of Rangiora to be included in Rangiora Riding thereof.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, the boundaries of the County of Rangiora and Borough of Rangiora were altered by the exclusion of a certain area from the Borough of Rangiora and the inclusion of such area in the County of Rangiora :

And whereas it is desirable that the area so added to the County of Rangiora should be included in the Rangiora Riding of that county :

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-one of the Counties Act, 1920, do hereby declare that the area included as aforesaid in the County of Rangiora shall be included in the Rangiora Riding of the said county, and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

RANGIORA RIDING.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded on the north, east, and south-west respectively by the northern, eastern, and south-western boundaries of the Rangiora County as described in Gazette, 1917, page 4537, from the intersection of the centre of the River Ashley and the production of the western boundary of Section 11239, Block IV, Mairaki Survey District, to a point in line with the western boundary-line of Rural Section 3811, Block VIII, Mairaki Survey District; thence by a right line proceeding in a northerly direction to and along the western boundary of the said Section No. 3811, along the eastern side of the road through Rural Section No. 3876, Block VIII aforesaid, and the western boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 4048, 4128, 4229, all of Block VIII aforesaid, and of Rural Sections Nos. 9163, 11239, Block IV aforesaid, and the production of the western boundary of the last-named section to its intersection with the centre of the River Ashley, the point of commencement: excluding from the above-described area the Borough of Rangiora.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of September, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-2, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forests.
