In the matter of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908,
and in the matter of the NORTHERN OHURA MEDICAL
ASSOCIATION (INCORPORATED).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-
up of the above-named association by the Supreme
Court was on the fourth day of December, 1923, presented
to Mr. Justice Salmond, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by
CHARLES CAMPBELL JENKINS, formerly of Matiere, but now
of Manurewa, Medical Practitioner, a creditor of the said
association. And the said petition is directed to be heard
before a Judge of the said Court on the 19th day of February,
1924; and any creditor or contributory of the said associa-
tion desirous to oppose the making of an order for the wind-
ing-up of the said association under the above Act should
appear at the time of the hearing by himself or his counsel
for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished
to any creditor or contributory of the said association re-
quiring the same by the undersigned, on payment of the
regulated charge for the same.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK XIII,
KARIOI SURVEY DISTRICT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF A GRAVEL
RESERVE.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the
provision of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take the
land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a
gravel reserve: And notice is hereby further given that the
plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
office of the Waimarino County Council at Raetihi and is
there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by
the taking of the said land should, if they have any well
grounded objection to the taking of the said land or to the
execution of the proposed works, set forth the same in writing,
and send such writing, within forty days from the first publi-
cation of this notice, to the Chairman of the Waimarino
County Council at Raetihi.
SCHEDULE.
Approximate area of piece of land required to be taken:
8 acres 1 rood, being that part of Rangiwaea 4F 14D 3A Block,
situated in Block XIII, Karioi Survey District, in the Wel-
lington Land District. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan dated October, 1923, surveyed by
Messrs. Annabell and Marchant, and deposited in the office
of the Waimarino County Council at Raetihi, and thereon
coloured pink.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.-OMAHINE-TE POI
No. 2 LOAN, £3,300.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £3,300 authorized to be raised by the
Matamata County Council under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of metalling roads for the first time and
bituminous-sealing portion of the roads in the above special
area, the Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of seven-sixteenths (7/16ths) of one penny in
the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable
property within the Omahine-Te Poi No. 2 Special Area,
comprising all that land commencing at Te Weraiti Trig,
on the Matamata County boundary and at the north-east
corner of Te Poi Riding, and following the northern boundary
of the riding in a westerly direction to the western corner
of Section 4087, where the said section joins Section 4313 1B;
thence along the eastern boundary of said Section 4313 1B
and 4313 1A, to the western junction of Sections 52 and 51,
Block XI, Tapapa; thence in a south-easterly direction
through Section 51, thus including 200 acres of said Section 51
in the area, to the road; thence along the southern bound-
aries of Lot 1, Section 63, and Section 58, Block XI, Tapapa ;
thence in a north-easterly direction along the boundaries
of said Section 58 and Section 59 to the Kaimai; thence
along the northern boundary of the Government Scenic Re-
serve in a north-easterly direction to the western riding
boundary; thence in a northerly direction along the said
boundary back to Weraiti Trig., the commencing point:
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the first day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of 361 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.-TIROTIRO AND MAKO-
MAKO ROADS WATER-SUPPLY SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £800 authorized to be raised by the said Horo-
whenua County Council under the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1913, for the purpose of supplying high-pressure water to the
ratepayers of the Tirotiro and Makomako Roads Special-
rating District, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of twenty-nine thirty-seconds
of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the
rateable property in the Tirotiro and Makomako Roads
Special-rating District, comprising Horowhenua West Lots 1
to 15, part Section 26; part Section 26; part Sections 22/24;
Lots 2 and part 4 of Horowhenua 10; part 10 of Horo-
whenua 10; part Section 1, Sections 2 and 3, Bartholomew
Settlement; all in Block I, Waiopehu Survey District: and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly
on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-
half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING SPECIAL RATE.-COUNTY OFFICES
10 PER CENT. ADDITIONAL LOAN OF £450.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all
other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Manukau
County Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Manukau
County Offices Supplementary Loan of £450, being 10 per cent.
additional of the Manukau County Offices Loan of £4,500,
authorized to be raised by the Manukau County Council under
the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing county
offices (such latter amount being insufficient to complete
the works for which such loan was raised), the said Council
hereby appropriates and pledges the special rate of one
thirty-second of a penny in the pound sterling on the capital
rateable value of all rateable property in the County of
Manukau made and levied by a resolution passed on the
second day of March, 1922, and gazetted in the New Zealand
Gazette, 1922, page 657; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE OF TWO AND NINE-
SIXTEENTH PENCE IN THE POUND TO SECURE LOWER
RICHMOND ROAD SPECIAL LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Taranaki
County Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £250 authorized to be raised by the Taranaki
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of forming and metalling the Lower Richmond Road,
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
two and nine-sixteenth pence in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property of the Lower Richmond Road
Special-rating District, being Sections 40, 39, Block 7, Pari-
tutu Survey District; Section 53, Block 9, Waitara Survey
District ; Sections 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23,
