sections 18 and 19 of the Public Works Act, 1908.
A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open
for inspection at the office of Messrs. Swarbrick and Swar-
brick, solicitors, Argus Buildings, Victoria Street, Hamilton.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in
writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such
work or the taking of such lands, and to send such writing
to the Waipa County Council within forty days from the date
of the first publication of this notice.

my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion
of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence

and Deaths at Wellington.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between JOHN HERBERT FINDLAY and
JOHN FRANCIS MEADE, carrying on business as Manufacturers
of Jelly Crystals and Essences, &c., at Dunedin, under the
style or firm of "The Ruabon Proprietary Company," has
been dissolved as from the fifteenth day of December, 1923.

RESOLUTION.
THE following regulations were laid before the members
of the St. Bathan's District Racing Club at a meeting
held on the 20th day of December, 1923, at St. Bathan's
with a recommendation by the Chairman of such club,
Mr. H. P. Campbell, that the same be passed at once with a
view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-
General in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. H. P. Campbell, the Chairman of such club and the
meeting, moved, and Mr. J. S. Webb seconded, and it was
resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that
the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same
in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to:-
ST. BATHAN'S DISTRICT RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf
contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all
other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the
St. Bathan's District Racing Club, a racing club within the
meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as "the
said club"), doth hereby make the following regulations
controlling the admission of persons to that part of the
racecourse situated in the district of St. Bathan's, and known
as the St. Bathan's District Racecourse, while the said
racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race
meetings.
- These regulations shall come into force on the date of
the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette. - In these regulations the words "bookmaker," "racing
club," and "race meeting" shall have the meanings ascribed
to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, - The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded
from the racecourse above described while the same is used
or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:-
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) Bookmakers' clerks, bookmakers' assistants, and book-
makers' agents.
(c.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any
racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New
Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or else-
where if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Con-
ference, the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or
the New Zealand Trotting Association.
(d.) Common prostitutes and persons who habitually con-
sort with thieves or persons who have no lawful
visible means of support.
(e.) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of house-
breaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or pos-
sessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, re-
ceiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence
or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908,
and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues, and
vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under
the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted
of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.
Provided always that the Stipendiary Stewards' Com-
mittee appointed by the New Zealand Racing Conference,
upon being satisfied by evidence as to character and other-
wise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes
within the scope of this regulation, should have relief from the
effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and
may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to
such person, and without assigning any reason for such
revocation.
The foregoing regulations of the St. Bathan's District
Racing Club were made and passed by such club on the 20th
day of December, 1923, and signed by the Chairman and
Secretary.
