Declaring an Area at Welcome Bay, in the Tauranga Ac-
climatization District, to be a Sanctuary for Native and
Imported Game.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

Pursuant to the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, John Rushworth,
Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby notify and declare the area described in
the Schedule hereto to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the
said Act, and that no imported or native game shall be taken
or killed within the said area except pursuant to an authority
granted under section thirty-one or section thirty-two of the
said Act, nor shall any person, except under such conditions
as may from time to time be prescribed by the Minister,
take any dog or firearm into such area, or discharge any
firearm or explosive in such area, or do anything likely to
cause any imported game or native game to leave such area.

SCHEDULE.

All that area situated in Block XV, Tauranga Survey District,
containing 231 acres 0 roods 37 perches, more or less, and
being the properties of Messrs. W. Tanner, Hugh M. Stewart,
and Stewart Brothers.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 26th day of August, 1924.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Kamo
Town District.

Wellington, 21st August, 1924.

It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented
to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the
Town Boards Act, 1908, praying that the area described in
the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Kamo Town
District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge
any written objections to or petitions against the proposed
alteration which they desire to lodge, within one month from
the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions
to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, being
portions of Allotments 50 and 51, Parish of Whangarei, com-
mencing at the intersection of the south-east boundary of
Allotment 116, Parish of Whangarei, and the Waitaua River,
being a point in the Kamo Town District boundary as described
in the New Zealand Gazette of 1901, page 1572. Bounded
towards the north, north-east, and south-east generally by
the aforementioned Kamo Town District boundary to the
southernmost corner of portion of Allotment 51, as shown on
Land Transfer plan 1583, deposited in the office of the District
Land Registrar at Auckland; thence on the south-west by
the south-western boundary of the aforementioned portion
of Allotment 51 to and by the Opua-Whangarei-Onerahi Rail-
way to Ngunguru Road; thence towards the north-west by
the south-eastern side of that road to a point in line with the
production of the south-western boundary of part of Allot-
ment 50, Parish of Whangarei, shown on the aforementioned
deposited plan 1583; thence on the south-west by a right line
across the said Ngunguru Road to and by the south-west
boundary of the aforesaid part of Allotment 50 and by the
south-western boundary of a further portion of Allotment 50
to the south-east boundary of Allotment 115, Parish of
Whangarei; thence towards the north-west by Allotments 115
and 116 as aforementioned to the point of commencement.
