NOTICE is hereby given that the final meeting of the shareholders of the above company will be held on the 12th August, 1924, at 2.30 p.m., at my office, situated at 37 Courtenay Place, Wellington. Business : To submit the Liquidators final report as to the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted, and the assets disposed of, and generally to offer any explanation that may be required from me.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

WELLINGTON CITY (ONSWLOW DISTRICT) WATER-SUPPLY AND DRAINAGE LOAN.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and of all other Acts and powers it enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows :

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £95,000, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, and powers for the provision in the special-rating area (as hereinafter described) of the Onslow District of a system of water-supply and a system of drainage, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven and seventy-eight two-hundredths pence (7 78/200ths d.) in the £1 upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in that part of the City of Wellington, comprising part of the former Borough of Onslow, being the Onslow Special-rating Area described in the Schedule hereto ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years computed from the 1st day of August, 1923, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

Special-rating Area, Onslow District.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, part of the City of Wellington, comprising Onslow Borough as it existed on the 11th day of April, 1919, being the date of the union of the borough with the City of Wellington, excepting (1) Section 10, Kaiwarra Registration District, which was excluded from the City of Wellington on 7th August, 1919 ; and (2) all those areas of land situated at and above a level of 740 ft. above the city datum, being (a) part of Section 9, Kaiwarra Registration District, containing 9 acres, more or less ; (b) Section 127, Ohariu Registration District ; (c) part of Section 128, Ohariu Registration District, containing 119 acres, more or less ; (d) Section 93, Ohariu Registration District ; (e) that part of Section 94, Ohariu Registration District, that formed part of the Onslow Borough on the 1st day of April, 1919 ; (f) part of Section 1, Porirua Registration District, containing 8 acres, more or less ; (g) part of Section 2, Porirua Registration District, containing 14½ acres, more or less ; (h) part of Section 3, Porirua Registration District, containing 16½ acres, more or less ; (i) part of Section 4, Porirua Registration District, containing 13 acres, more or less ; (j) that part of Section 5, Porirua Registration District, that formed part of the Onslow Borough on the 1st day of April, 1919 ; and (k) that area of land, being part of the land known as the railway-settlement land, being part of Section 4, Harbour Registration District, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 217, folio 53 ; and (l) all that area of land within the Kaiwarra Drainage and Rating Area described in the Schedule in the New Zealand Gazette of 6th August, 1908 ; and also (m) all that part of Section 4, Harbour District, lying to the seaward of the Hutt Road, bounded on the north by the production to the sea of the northern boundary of the land comprised in certificate of title Volume 217, folio 53, towards the east by the sea, and towards the south by the northern boundary of the said Kaiwarra Drainage and Rating Area : the whole area being approved by W. G. Riddell, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate, under section 3 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913. And which special-rating area is defined in a plan deposited in the office of the Engineer of the said Wellington City Council as No. D. 1050, and thereon outlined in blue.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

WELLINGTON CITY (KARORI DISTRICT) WATER-SUPPLY AND DRAINAGE LOAN.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and of all other Acts and powers it enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows :

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £88,000, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, and powers for the provision in the special-rating area (as hereinafter described) of the Karori District of a system of water-supply and a system of drainage, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five and three two-hundredths pence (5 3/200ths.d.) in the £1 upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in that part of the City of Wellington comprising part of the former Borough of Karori, being the Karori Special-rating Area described in the Schedule hereto ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years from the 1st day of August, 1923, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

Special-rating Area, Karori District.

ALL that area of land in the Wellington Land District, part of the City of Wellington, comprising the Borough of Karori as it existed on the 1st day of April, 1920, being the date of the union of the borough with the City of Wellington, excepting (l) those areas of land excluded from the City of Wellington on the 1st day of April, 1921, by Order in Council gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette, Number 47, of the 19th May, 1921, at page 1181, being part of Section 9, Upper Kaiwarra Registration District ; part of Section 43, Karori Registration District ; and of Sections 49 and 42, Karori Registration District ; (2) all those areas of land at and above a level of 740 ft. above the City datum, being (a) part of Section 38, Karori Registration District, containing 11 acres, more or less ; (b) part of Section 44, Karori Registration District, containing 37 acres, more or less ; (c) part of Section 46, Karori Registration District, containing 79½ acres, more or less ; (d) Section 55, Karori Registration District, containing 37½ acres, more or less ; (e) part of Section 47, Karori Registration District, containing 84 acres, more or less ; (f) part of Section 45, Karori Registration District, containing 52 acres, more or less ; (g) Section 54, Karori Registration District, containing 15½ acres, more or less ; (h) part of Section 43, Karori Registration District, containing 23½ acres, more or less ; (i) part of Section 41, Karori Registration District, containing 48½ acres, more or less ; (j) part of Section 40, Karori Registration District, containing 72 acres, more or less ; (k) part of Section 39, Karori Registration District, containing 54½ acres, more or less ; (l) part of Section 37, Karori Registration District, containing 47 acres, more or less ; (m) part of Section 35, Karori Registration District, containing 48 acres, more or less : the whole area being approved by W. G. Riddell, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate, under section 3 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913. And which Special-rating Area is defined in a plan deposited in the office of the Engineer of the said Wellington City Council as No. D 1051, and thereon outlined in blue.

HASTINGS BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Hastings Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,800 authorized to be raised by the Hastings Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, and under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and its amendments, to be expended for the following purposes : For the erection of a supper-room and for the purchase of furnishings (to be used in conjunction with the assembly hall) over the right-of-way and back premises between the Municipal Theatre and the assembly hall, £1,650 ; cost of raising the loan and interest and sinking fund for the first year, £150 ; total, £1,800 : the said Hastings Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/40d. in
