Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Okaihau Domain, North Auckland Land District.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection two of section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1921-22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Okaihau Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the Okaihau Domain under its control described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement l acre, more or less, being portion of Allotment 72, Parish of Okaihau, and bounded as follows—Commencing at the northernmost corner of Allotment 78, Parish of Okaihau, bounded towards the north-west by a line, 200 links, being the production of the northern boundary of the aforesaid Allotment 78; thence towards the north-east by a right line, 500 links, to a public road; towards the south-east by the said public road, 200 links; and thence towards the south-west by the north-eastern boundary of the aforementioned Allotment 78, Parish of Okaihau, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 1/694, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 25th day of June, 1924.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Invercargill Borough Council.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Invercargill Borough Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:

  1. The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be three years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.
  2. The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.
  3. The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.

SCHEDULE.

WAIHOPAI RIVER SCENIC RESERVE.—SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 17 acres l rood, more or less, being part of Section 11, Block IV, Invercargill Hundred. Bounded towards the north-east by other part of Section 11, Block IV, Invercargill Hundred, 1141·8 links ; towards the east by Elles Road, 425 links ; towards the south and again towards the east generally by a public road along the bank of the Waihopai River, 4830 links ; and towards the west by other part of said Section 11, 2861·7 links.

Also all that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being part of Section 10, Block IV, Invercargill Hundred. Bounded towards the north-east by other part of Section 10, Block IV, Invercargill Hundred, 2277·6 links ; towards the cast by Section 9 of said block, 675 links ; towards the south generally by the Waihopai River, 2850 links ; and towards the west by Elles Road, 520 links.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 400/4l, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor General, this 25th day of June, 1924.

New Zealand Army Ordnance Department and New Zealand Army Ordnance Corps.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the regulations for the New Zealand Army Ordnance Department and the New Zealand Army Ordnance Corps, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, together with all amendments thereto, and do hereby make in lieu thereof the regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto ; and I do hereby declare that such revocation and such new regulation shall have effect as from the date of publication thereof in the Gazette :

SCHEDULE.

NEW ZEALAND ORDNANCE CORPS.

THE New Zealand Army Ordnance Corps is hereby reconstituted and re-established as a unit of the New Zealand Permanent Forces, and shall consist of such number of officers, warrant officers, non-commissioned officers, and men as may from time to time be authorized by the Minister of Defence.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 27th day of June, 1924.

Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces amended.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and I do hereby declare that such amendments shall have effect as from the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

FINANCIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS. Section XV.

  1. For the words “N.Z. Army Pay Department” in the heading of the section, substitute “N.Z. Army Pay Corps.”
  2. Paragraph 214 is amended by deleting the last sentence, and substituting the following : “He will command the N.Z.A.P.C. and exercise supervision and control over the personnel and organization of all N.Z. Army pay offices.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 27th day of June, 1924.
