Appointing a Member of the Bluff Harbour Board.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS it is provided by subsection three of section thirty-eight of the Harbours Act, 1923, that in the event of an extraordinary vacancy in the office of a non-elective member of a Harbour Board, the Governor-General shall, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place:

And whereas Ernest Arnott Nichol, a non-elective member of the Bluff Harbour Board, having resigned his office by writing under his hand delivered to the Secretary of the Board, an extraordinary vacancy in the membership of the Board has been created, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person in his place:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint John Ronald Hamilton to be a member of the Bluff Harbour Board in the place of the said Ernest Arnott Nichol, resigned.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 25th day of June, 1924.

Constituting the Harapepe Rabbit District.—Notice No. Ag. 2393.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of June, 1924.

Present :

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS by section sixty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), as amended by the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1918, it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, on petition in that behalf from a majority of the ratepayers therein, constitute and declare any part of New Zealand defined in such Order in Council a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act:

And whereas a petition in accordance with the provisions of the said Act has been received, asking that the lands described in the Schedule hereto be constituted and declared a rabbit district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act and its amendments, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute by the specific name of the “Harapepe Rabbit District,” and declare that part of New Zealand defined in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act; and doth hereby further declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall in terms of the said Act consist of six members.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Raglan County bounded, commencing at the intersection of the Waipa River, by the north-western boundary of Section 195, Block XI, Parish of Pirongia; thence in a south-westerly direction by the north-western boundary of Section 195, to a public road; thence in a southerly, south-westerly, and southerly direction by the said road fronting Sections 195, 193, 189, and 192, to its intersection by the north-western boundary of Section 118, Block XV; thence in a south-westerly, southerly, and south-westerly direction by the north-western and western boundaries of Section 118 and the north-western boundary of Section 124, to a public road; thence in a northerly direction by the said road to the north-eastern corner of Section 150; thence in a south-westerly direction by the north-western boundaries of Sections 150, 151, 152, 152A, 153, 154, 155, 156, to a public road; thence generally in a south-easterly and south-westerly direction by the road fronting Sections 156, 282, and 283, to the south-western corner of Section 283; thence in a south-easterly direction by the south-western boundaries of Sections 283 and 282; thence in a north-easterly and south-easterly direction by the south-eastern boundary of Lot 292, and the south-western boundary of Lot 293, to a public road; thence in a south-westerly direction by said road to the north-western corner of Section 340, Block III; thence in a south-easterly direction by the south-western boundary of Section 340, to a public road; thence generally in a north-easterly direction by the said road to the intersection of the south-western boundary of Section 71, Block XVI; thence in a south-easterly direction by the south-western boundary of Section 71 to the Waipa River; thence generally in a northerly direction by the Waipa River to starting-point.

Miss Ruby Jean McKnight

to be Registrar of Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the District of Black’s on and from the 1st December, 1923; and
Miss Abigail Katherine Molloy

to be Registrar of Births for the District of Taupo at Reporoa on and from the 1st July, 1924.

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Assistant Registrar dissolving a Society.

I, WILLIAM GREER FLETCHER, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that The Waikato Telephone Association (Incorporated); is no longer carrying on its operations, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908. Dated at Auckland this 23rd day of June, 1924.
