Declaring Portion of the Wellington-Masterton Road, in the No. 10 Highway District, Wellington East, Featherston County, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of June, 1924.

Present :
THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 10.

WELLINGTON-Masterton Road: All that portion of the Wellington-Masterton Road, in the Featherston County, commencing at the summit of the Rimutaka Range, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction, and terminating at Abbots Creek Bridge (known as No. 4 Rimutaka Bridge), being a distance of 4 miles 40 chains, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.H. 25, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue and marked A-B on plan.

Declaring Portions of Roads in Highway District No. 11, Waimea, Marlborough, and Takaka Counties, to be Government Roads.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.

SCHEDULE.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 11.

NELSON-Blenheim Road: All that portion of the Nelson-Blenheim Road, in the Waimea and Marlborough Counties, commencing at Lud Bridge, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly and a south-easterly direction, passing over Whangamoa Saddle, Rai Saddle, and passing through Wakamarino, Havelock, and Okaramio, and terminating at the northern end of the Wairau Bridge, being a distance of 54 miles 16 chains, more or less; marked A-B on plan.

Nelson-Collingwood Road: All that portion of the Nelson-Collingwood Road, in the Waimea and Takaka Counties, commencing at the boundary of Sections 75 and 76, Kaiteriteri Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction passing over the summit, and terminating at its junction with the Upper Takaka Road, being a distance of seventeen miles more or less; marked C-D on plan.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.H. 44, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue and marked as above mentioned.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads and portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.

SCHEDULE.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 12.

WESTPORT-Karamea Road: All that portion of the Westport-Karamea Road, in the Buller County, commencing at the eastern boundary of the Borough of Westport and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction, passing through Waimangaroa, Seddonville, over the Little Wanganui and Karamea River Bridges, and terminating at the Karamea Post-office, being a distance of sixty-four miles, more or less; marked A-B on plan.

Inangahua Junction-Kumara Road: All that road known as the Inangahua-Kumara Road, in the Inangahua, Grey, and Westland Counties, commencing at its junction with the Westport-Nelson Road, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction, passing through Reefton, Ahaura, Brunner, and Greymouth, and terminating at Kumara at its junction with the Arthur Pass-Kumara Road (excluding those portions of the road in the Boroughs of Brunner, Grey, and Kumara, being a distance of eighty-five miles, more or less; marked C-D on plan.

Kumara to Ross Road: All that road known as the Kumara to Ross Road, in the Westland County, commencing at Kumara Road junction with the Arthur’s Pass Road, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction passing through the Borough of Hokitika, and terminating at the northern boundary of the Borough of Ross (excluding that portion of the road in the said Borough of Hokitika), being a distance of thirty-six miles, more or less; marked D-E on plan.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.H. 31, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue and marked as above mentioned.
