APRIL 3.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to acquire certain land for recreation purposes, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
And notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of the said lands who have well grounded objections to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Bank Street, Whangarei.
SCHEDULE.
Approximate area of land required to be taken : 29:46 perches; being portion of Petingale's subdivision of part of Carruth's Grant in the Parish of Whangarei, and being that piece of land known as Lover's Lane, extending from Rust Lane to the Waiorohia Stream; coloured pink; situate in the Town of Whangarei.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership between WILLIAM ROBERT KANE and JOHN WILLIAM ARMITAGE, late of Newmarket, Grocers, is hereby dissolved by mutual consent.

GREY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Grey Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £80,000, authorized to be raised by the Grey Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the development of electric power within the district, the said Grey Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-tenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the capital value) of the Grey Electric-power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAIHAPE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Taihape Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Taihape Borough Electric-lighting Extension Loan of £4,300, 1924, authorized to be raised by the Taihape Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extensions and additions to the Council's electric-light plant and mains, the said Taihape Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third (1/3rd) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Taihape; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PAPATOETOE TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Papatoetoe Town Board hereby resolves as follows:
- That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,200, authorized to be raised by the Papatoetoe Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of roading-improvements, the said Papatoetoe Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-half of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Papatoetoe Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PAPATOETOE TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Papatoetoe Town Board hereby resolves as follows:
- That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,800, authorized to be raised by the Papatoetoe Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of establishing a sanitary service, the said Papatoetoe Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Papatoetoe Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Papatoetoe Town Board hereby resolves as follows:
- That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,365 authorized to be raised by the Papatoetoe Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying antecedent liability of £700, and redeeming recreation-ground debentures overdue, £665, the said Papatoetoe Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Papatoetoe Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
