NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned ERNEST HENRY CALDER and JOHN STUART SKINNER, in the business of Grain, Seed, and Produce Brokers and Commission Agents, carried on by us at 87 Crawford Street, Dunedin, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 19th day of March, 1924, and the said ERNEST HENRY CALDER will pay and discharge all debts and liabilities and receive all moneys payable to the said late firm.

Notice of Special Resolution passed to voluntarily wind up THE HEDDON BUSH HORSEMAN'S SOCIETY (INCORPORATED).
AT an extraordinary special general meeting of the above society held in the said Society's Hall at Heddon Bush on the 20th day of March, 1924, the following special resolution was passed:-
"'That, owing to the lack of interest taken by members in the said society, it is advisable to wind up the same voluntarily, and accordingly that the society be wound up voluntarily, and that THOMAS WATSON, of Heddon Bush, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.''

EDUCATION BOARD FOR DISTRICT OF HAWKE'S BAY.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR SCHOOL-SITE.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1913, and the Education Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Hawke's Bay proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work--namely, the erection of a public school--and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
Notice is further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of Messieurs BALL AND CRAWSHAW, Land Agents, Peel Street, Gisborne, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of such land, who have any well founded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of the said notice to the Secretary of the Hawke's Bay Education Board, Napier.
THE SCHEDULE.
Approximate Area of Land required to be taken.
2 acres, being portion of Section 8, Block VII, Waimata Survey District; coloured red.
Situate in the County of Cook and Land District of Poverty Bay, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 1212 (brown), and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

WHANGAMOMONA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Whangamomona County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Whangamomona County Roadmaking Machinery Loan of Β£3,000, 1924, authorized to be raised by the Whangamomona County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing machinery and plant for the construction and maintenance of roads, the said Whangamomona County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth (&) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Whangamomona ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (364) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
