THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 2

District: excluding therefrom that area bounded by a line
commencing at the junction of the north-western side of
Hickey Street with the south-western boundary of part of
Block XXXVII, Patangata Crown-grant District, and pro-
ceeding thence south-easterly along the said south-western
boundary to the south-eastern side of Lawrence Street;
thence south-westerly along the said south-eastern side of
Lawrence Street and the south-eastern side of Weber Street
to Higginson Street, across that street, to the south-eastern
side of the Waipawa Road to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Lot 20, part of aforesaid Block XXXVII;
thence to and along that boundary, across railway reserve,
and along the northern boundary of Lot 19 to the eastern
boundary of part of Block XLIX; thence northerly along
the eastern boundaries of Blocks XLIX and L to a school
reserve, along the southern boundary of that school reserve
to main road, along the eastern side of that street to the
northern side of Higginson Street, and along the northern side
of that street and of Ross Street to Hickey Street; thence
along the north-western side of Hickey Street to the point
of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
OTANE TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a
line commencing at the junction of the north-western side of
Hickey Street with the south-western boundary of part of
Block XXXVII, Patangata Crown-grant District, and pro-
ceeding thence south-easterly along the said south-western
boundary to the south-eastern side of Lawrence Street;
thence south-westerly along the said south-eastern side of
Lawrence Street and the south-eastern side of Weber Street
to Higginson Street, across that street to the south-eastern
side of the Waipawa Road to a point in a line with the northern
boundary of Lot 20, part of aforesaid Block XXXVII;
thence to and along that boundary, across railway reserve,
and along the northern boundary of Lot 19 to the eastern
boundary of part of Block XLIX; thence northerly along
the eastern boundaries of Blocks XLIX and L to a school

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests
Act, 1921-22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown lands described in
the Schedule hereto as provisional State forests.

SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON-MARLBOROUGH
FOREST CONSERVATION REGION.

Provisional State Forest No. 151.

ALL that area of land, containing by admeasurement 250
acres, more or less, situated in Blocks III and IV, Tennyson
Survey District, and bounded as follows: On the north-west
and north generally by State Forest No. 11 (New Zealand
Gazette, 1881, page 959); on the south-east generally by Sec-
tion 6, Block III aforesaid; and on the south generally by
Section 1, Block III, and Sections 6 and 5, Block IV, Tennyson
Survey District, to the point of commencement.

Provisional State Forest No. 152.

All that area, containing by admeasurement 80 acres,
more or less, situated in Block III, Tennyson Survey District,
and bounded generally as follows: On the north and east by
State Forest No. 11 (New Zealand Gazette, 1881, page 959);
on the south and south-west by Tunakino Stream and
Section 6, Block III aforesaid.

Provisional State Forest No. 153.

All that area containing by admeasurement 540 acres,
more or less, situated in Blocks II and III, Tennyson Survey
District, and bounded generally as follows: On the north
by State Forest No. 11 (New Zealand Gazette, 1881, page 959);
on the east and south by State Forest No. 12 (New Zealand
Gazette, 1886, page 1092); and on the west by Sections 2 and
7, Block III, Tennyson Survey District.

Provisional State Forest No. 154.

ALL that area of land, containing by admeasurement 220
acres, more or less, situated in Block III, Wakamarina Survey
District, and bounded as follows: On the north-west generally
by Section 1, Block III aforesaid; on the east by State
Forest No. 11; and on the south generally by State Forest
No. 13 (New Zealand Gazette, 1886, page 1092).

As the same are more particularly delineated on forest
atlas No. 104, deposited in the Head Office, State Forest
Service, at Wellington, and thereon washed green with
neutral border.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of
January, 1924.

to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Taranaki Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 0 roods 37 perches, be the same a little more or less, and being Sections 13 and 14, Block II, Rangi Survey District; as the same is more particularly shown on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at New Plymouth as No. 574, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of
January, 1924.
