OTOROHANGA TOWN BOARD.

In the matter of the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Otorohanga Town Board proposes, under provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public works—namely, the acquisition of land and the construction of a gravel-pit; and for the purposes of the said public works the parcel of land described in the schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the Board situated in Maniapoto Street, Otorohanga, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said parcel of land, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said parcel of land, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the Board at the said office.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate total area of the parcel of land: 9 acres 2 roods, of which an area of 3 acres 0 roods 20 perches, more or less, is part of Otorohanga Block, and an area of 5 acres 0 roods 38 perches, more or less, is part of Otorohanga Q No. 2 Block, and an area of 1 acre 0 roods 22 perches, more or less, is part of old river-bed, which parcel of land is edged red in plan 21322, and is all in Block IV, Orahiri Survey District.

ONEHUNGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Onehunga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000, authorized to be raised by the Onehunga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for laying 4 in. water-mains, the said Onehunga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Onehunga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of January and the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BOROUGH OF FEILDING.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Feilding Borough Manawatu Gorge Contribution Loan of £550, 1924, authorized to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying the Council’s contribution to the Manawatu Gorge Board of Control, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second (1/32nd) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Feilding; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
