Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged
Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Hawke’s Bay Land
District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settle-
ment Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the nineteenth day
of February, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and
published in the Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of February
then instant, setting apart Crown lands for selection by dis-
charged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement
Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule
hereto.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

Hawke’s Bay County.—Puketapu Survey District.

SECTION 2, Block III: Area, 472 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of
March, 1924.

Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the
Nelson Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms portion of a reserve duly set apart under the
Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, by Proclamation dated the
tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirteenth
day of that month:

And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic
purposes by reason of the destruction of the bush thereon:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by
section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act,
1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes
over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by
admeasurement 16 acres 1 rood 7 perches, more or less, and
being a part of Scenery Preservation Reserve 2 (in red),
in Block V, Howard Survey District, the whole of which
said reserve was originally in Blocks VI, VII, IX, X, and
XI, Hope Survey District, but is now in Blocks VI, VII,
IX, and X, Hope Survey District, and Block V, Howard
Survey District. Commencing at the south-eastern corner
of Section 21 of Square 171, and thence proceeding along
the eastern boundaries of the said section, 23° 42’, 927 links,
293° 42’, 330 links, and 23° 42’, 213 links; thence 23° 42’,
121.9 links, and 78° 49’, 410 links (scaled) to the left bank
of the Buller River; thence easterly along the said bank
to the north-west corner of Section 13 of Square 171; thence
238° 33’, 440.7 links, to the north-west corner of Section 10
of Block VI, Howard Survey District; thence proceeding
along the north-western boundary of the said Section 10,
219° 53’, 831.6 links, 233° 2’, 422 links, and 228° 43’, 461.5
links; and thence 318° 43’, 616.4 links, to the point of com-
mencement: be all the aforesaid linkages and bearings more
or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L.
and S. 56630, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of March,
1924.

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be
subject to the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act,
1921-22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the
recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto, being portion of a provisional State forest set apart
by Proclamation dated the fifth day of July, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty, and gazetted on the eighth day of
that month, is required for settlement purposes; and, in
accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land
shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease
to be a provisional State forest, and shall become subject
to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by
admeasurement 48 acres 2 roods, more or less, situated in
Blocks V and VI, Brighton Survey District, Buller County,
commencing at the south-east corner of Section 3, Block V,
Brighton Survey District, thence along the eastern boundary
of the before-mentioned section to Section 9, Block V, Brighton
Survey District, 6792.9 links; thence along the south and
east boundaries of Section 9, Block V, Brighton Survey
District, 655.8 and 820 links respectively, to a road reserve
on the south bank of Fox’s River; thence easterly along the
before-mentioned road reserve to its intersection with a line
running from peg IIA to the south-east corner of the before-
mentioned Section 3; thence by a right line to the point of
commencement, a distance of 80 chains, and being portion of a
provisional State forest reserve set apart by Proclamation
dated the 5th July, 1920, and published in the Gazette of
the 8th July, 1920, page 2115: as the same is delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. X/97/9, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of March,
1924.

Allocating to the Purposes of a Road Land in Block VII,
Omapere Survey District, taken for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule
hereto (and which was taken for the purposes of the Kawa-
kawa-Hokianga Railway and is not now required for such
purposes) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New
Zealand Gazette
, become a road, and that such road shall be
maintained by the Bay of Islands County Council in like
manner as other public highways are controlled and main-
tained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land dealt with:—

A. R. P.
0 0 32 Railway land; coloured blue.
0 0 13.5 Railway land; coloured yellow.

Situated in Omapere Parish, Block VII, Omapere Survey
District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 22639.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
58430, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of March,
1924.
