Change of Name of “Tamaki West Road District” to “Tamaki Road District.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Board of the Tamaki West Road District, in the County of Eden, has, by resolution adopted at an ordinary meeting thereof, requested that the name of that road district be altered from “Tamaki West” to “Tamaki”:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and the Designation of Districts Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the road district now known as “Tamaki West” in the County of Eden, shall be and the same is hereby altered to “Tamaki” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such road district accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of February, 1924.

Proclaiming Road-lines laid out through Te Au-o-Waikato Maungatapu Nos. 3, 4, 6, and 9 and Te Au Waikato No. 5 Blocks to be Public Roads.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto were, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the thirty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, duly laid off as road-lines, in pursuance of sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that in the public interest the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act:
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-lines as public roads has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as public roads the road-lines described in the Schedule hereto.

9 0 16 Te Au-o-Waikato Maungatapu No. 4 Block, situated in Blocks VI, X, and XI, Maungakawa Survey District, coloured blue.
3 3 38 Te Au-o-Waikato Maungatapu No. 6 Block, situated in Block XI, Maungakawa Survey District, coloured yellow.
14 2 22 Te Au-o-Waikato Maungatapu No. 9 Block, situated in Block XI, Maungakawa Survey District, coloured red.
3 0 24 Te Au-o-Waikato No. 5 Block, situated in Block XI, Maungakawa Survey District, coloured sepia.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1145, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2064, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of March, 1924.
