Consenting to Native Land in Block XIII, Otama Survey District, being taken for the Purposes of a Lighthouse.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of December, 1923.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Native land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a lighthouse.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land being taken: 70 acres. Being Ohinau Island, situated in Block XIII, Otama Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 22727.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 58611, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby proclaim and declare that the Native land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a lighthouse, and that the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the eleventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section eighty of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation for recreation purposes over that portion of the Murchison Domain described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby revoke the vesting of the control of the said portion in the Murchison Domain Board, and declare the land over which such reservation is cancelled to be available for disposal under the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—PART OF MURCHISON DOMAIN.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, and being part of Section 20 (Square 170), Village of Murchison. Bounded towards the south by Waller Street, 150 links; towards the west by Section 34, 333·3 links; towards the north by a line parallel to the southern boundary 150 links; and towards the east by a line parallel to the western boundary, 333·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/277, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
