That for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on, and for the repayment of, a loan of £26,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act and the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, for the purpose of providing for the exceptional expenditure as the result of damage by the floods of April and May, 1923, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings (¾d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.—MAKARA ROAD £200 LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for defraying the cost of forming and culverting the Makara Road between Sub. 2 of Section 4 and Sub. 2 of Section 16, Block XI, Huiroa Survey District, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Makara Road £200 Loan Special-rating Area, comprising Sub. 2 of Section, 4, 160 acres of Section 16, 66 acres of Sub. 2 of Section 16, and Section 17 of Block XI, Huiroa Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
KAITIEKE ROAD AND BRIDGE £500 LOAN.—RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for defraying the cost of metalling the Kaitieke Road from the Mangaehu Road to the Kaitieke Stream and for bridging the Kaitieke Stream, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fivepence and five-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kaitieke Road and Bridge £500 Loan Special-rating Area, comprising Sections 14, 19, 31, part 16 (33 acres 2 roods 12 perches), and part 13 (100 acres) of Block III, Omona Survey District, and Sections 8, 9, 10, Block VII, Omona Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Kairanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Kairanga County Manawatu Gorge Contribution Loan of £1,100, 1923, authorized to be raised by the Kairanga County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying the Council’s contribution to the Manawatu Gorge Board of Control, the said Kairanga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three four-hundredths (3/400ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Kairanga; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIRARAPA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, and all other acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Wairarapa Electric-power Board’s Loan of £50,000, authorized to be raised by the Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of financing intending consumers of electric energy and of providing for stock of motors, fittings, and electrical appliances, with necessary land, buildings, and storage accommodation, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth (1/6) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairarapa Electric-power District as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the 25th day of March, 1920; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year until the loan is fully paid off.

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Council of the County of Makara hereby resolves as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by Makara County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of procuring roadmaking machinery, consisting of road-roller, rock-crusher, with elevator and screen, metal-bins, tractors, or other motor-transport vehicles, scarifier, tar-sprayer, and any other machinery considered to be part of the foregoing and necessary to the working of each or the whole, hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/32 of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the Porirua Riding of the County of Makara; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and shall be payable on the 16th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Manawatu Gorge Road and Bridge Act, 1919, the Woodville County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
