MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Manurewa Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of one thousand one hundred and ten pounds (£1,110), authorized to be raised by the Manurewa Town Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for road-improvement purposes, the said Manurewa Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighteenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Manurewa Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, carrying on business at Ngamatia as Sheep and Cattle Farmers, under the style of “THE NGAMATIA STATION SYNDICATE,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the date hereof so far as concerns the undersigned ANGUS BEVERADGE CARMICHAEL and TUDOR NUGENT BAKER, who retire from the said firm.
All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the undersigned CHARLES RUDDENKLAU, GEORGE RUDDENKLAU, and WILLIAM RALPH GARDNER, who will continue to carry on the said business in partnership.

KAWAKAWA TOWN DISTRICT.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was duly passed by the Kawakawa Town Board at a meeting of the Board held at Kawakawa on the 29th day of October, 1923.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kawakawa Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Kawakawa Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing workers’ dwellings in the Kawakawa Town District, the said Kawakawa Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the said Kawakawa Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of the Counties Act, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitotara County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the acquisition of land at Raorikia and the erection of a worker’s dwelling thereon: and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of he lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council situate in Ridgway Street, Wanganui, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Clerk at the Council office, Ridgway Street, Wanganui.
SCHEDULE.
Part of the block of land known as Puketarata 4G No. 1 Block, Block X, Waipakura S.D., situate at Raorikia, containing 10 acres.

NEW LYNN TOWN DISTRICT.
DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUES.
PURSUANT to section 39 of the Rating Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the New Lynn Town District, taken on the 5th day of December, 1923, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said town district be on the unimproved value,—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 264; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 86; informal, 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the EDUCATION BOARD of the DISTRICT of AUCKLAND intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, for the use, convenience and enjoyment of a public school, the following land, namely:—
All that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing 3 acres, more or less, being part of Section 1, Block III, Te Kuri Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 314, folio 234, of the Register-book in the Land Transfer Office, at Auckland.
A plan of the said land is deposited at the post-office at Ruawai, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Williamson’s Chambers, Auckland, New Zealand.
